FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Norman Powell, TOR at BOS ($3,500) – It was announced Thursday that DeMarre Carroll would play but sit out Friday's contest for rest purposes. The last time this happened, Powell was inserted into the starting lineup for Toronto (a week ago) and responded with 27.2 fantasy points in 32 minutes of playing time. He should be in line for a similar workload tonight and is an outstanding punt-play considering he's the minimum price.

Terry Rozier, BOS vs TOR ($4,200)Isaiah Thomas will miss his second consecutive game tonight, leaving his 30-plus minutes to be divided up among his teammates. That worked out nicely for Rozier on Wednesday, as he saw 26 minutes, his highest total in 10 games. Rozier responded with 27 fantasy points and should be in line for the same amount of playing time Friday. The Raptors are on the second night of a back-to-back and are allowing the 12th most fantasy points to opposing point guards, as well.

Jordan Clarkson, LAL vs PHO ($5,000) – This is the lowest price Clarkson has been at recently and now is the time to take advantage. He started for the Lakers last game, but more importantly, he's one of the few players who regularly play over than 30 minutes. It's a great matchup too against the Suns, who have given up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this season.

Josh McRoberts, MIA at CLE ($3,500) – The Heat are a banged up

Josh McRoberts, MIA at CLE ($3,500) – The Heat are a banged up team missing multiple starters and it might get worse tonight if Rodney McGruder can't play. McRoberts has been getting playing time as a result, logging around 30 minutes in each of his last three games. Getting those minutes as a big man alone means rebounds but McRoberts is a decent passer as well, as evidenced by his 23 fantasy points in two of those three games. That's about the ceiling here for him, but at the minimum salary that would equate to 6.5X value.

Sam Dekker, HOU at OKC ($3,900) – Slowly but surely Dekker is earning the trust of Mike D'Antoni and is getting rewarded with playing time. He's scored 25.6, 25.8, 25.6 and 21.2 fantasy points in four of his last five games while spending more than 20 minutes on the floor in each. Dekker should be able to take advantage of a questionable second unit for the Thunder and eclipse 20 fantasy points again.

Dwight Powell, DAL vs IND ($4,000) – Powell was one of the chalkier plays Wednesday night and likely will be again tonight. Dirk Nowitzki and Andrew Bogut are still out for the Mavs, meaning Powell should easily eclipse the 24-minute mark. Over his last three games, he's scored 25.5, 25.4 and 27.1 fantasy points, illustrating a solid floor and ceiling given his price tag. Don't chance fading him here in cash games.

Bismack Biyombo, ORL at CHA ($4,400) – Biyombo finally had a dud of a game Wednesday, finishing with only nine fantasy points in 26 minutes. Before that, he had consistently been playing minutes in the 30s and had at least 20.7 fantasy points in four of his previous five games. This is a good matchup for Orlando's big men as the Hornets have given up the seventh most fantasy points to opposing centers this yar. Look for Biyombo to bounce back tonight and at least get to the 20 fantasy-point level.

Tyson Chandler, PHO at LAL ($4,900) – Chandler has secured the starting role and majority of minutes at center for the Suns, relegating Alex Len to his usual backup role. Chandler has scores of 27, 23.3 and 32 fantasy points in three of his last five games and has an excellent matchup tonight. He should be able to dominate Timofey Mozgov and the Lakers, who have allowed the second most fantasy points to opposing center over the last five games.
