Point Guard
Russell Westbrook, $11,700 - Stephen Curry is listed at $11,000 but Westbrook is facing Jose Calderon. Jose. Calderon. There won't be a bigger mismatch this season so pay up and watch the fantasy points accrue.
Mario Chalmers, $4,400 - It could be the BBQ or his new teammates but Chalmers has hit the ground running since joining the Grizzlies. He has at least 21 fantasy points in his last four games showing that the floor here seems to be around 5X his price tag. The matchup with Houston tonight suggests an up-tempo game to help his fantasy prospects.
Shooting Guard
Kirk Hinrich, $3,700 - This is obviously a punt play as the Bulls will be without Derrick Rose and Aaron Brooks. Hinrich is slated to log heavy minutes and will likely be exhausted chasing Stephen Curry all over the court. That being said, Hinrich's increase in minutes will make him hit his value here as he put up 26.4 fantasy points Wednesday night against the Suns in a relief role.
Jamal Crawford, $4,400 - It's unlikely J.J. Redick suits up tonight and there's a good chance Chris Paul sits as well. Crawford has logged 40 and 44 minutes in the last two games that resulted in fantasy performances of 22 and 55.2 fantasy points. 20 fantasy points seems to be the safe expectation here and the Trail Blazers aren't a team that's been known for the defense this season.
Small Forward
Corey Brewer, $3,700 - Brewer is always a risky play considering he's a boom or bust player. He seems to be in a good groove right now and his running three-pointer to tie the game Wednesday night should have his confidence running high. He's score 19.8 and 21.6 fantasy points over his last two games and has been playing in the mid-20 minutes as of late. The matchup against Memphis isn't the best but he's a good punt play if you're looking for salary relief at the position.
Marcus Morris, $6,000 - This isn't the sexiest pick but Morris has logged heavy minutes and is a safe play tonight for 20-plus fantasy points. His lowest minute total of the season sits at 32 and he's hit 20 fantasy points in every games except for one. The pace of this game should be fast against Minnesota and Morris is the type of player who can fill the stat sheet.
Power Forward
Julius Randle, $5,500 - It seems like a long time ago but one the first day of the month Randle posted a 51-fantasy point game. He's consistently been in the mid-20s as far as fantasy points go lately and gets a nice home matchup in the late game tonight. The Raptors are a sound defensive team but have been on a long road trip and likely won't be at the top of their game.
Ryan Anderson, $6,400 - This recommendation is totally based on the availability of his teammates, namely Anthony Davis and Omer Asik. Anderson logged a season-high 44 minutes last game drilling three-pointers and single handedly keeping his team in the game against the Thunder. He's had 34.2 and 43.9 fantasy points in his last two games with Davis showing the upside he has provided "The Brow" sits out tonight.
Center
Nikola Jokic, $4,100 - This is a risky pick to be honest but the potential reward might be to great to pass up. Jokic shored up a flimsy Denver interior defense last game and logging a season-high 32 minutes resulted in 47.4 fantasy points. He's been up and down this season dealing with a back injury but that appears to be behind him. J.J. Hickson has fallen out of favor in the rotation and Kenneth Faried is dealing with an injury himself. It's a risky pick that could pay huge dividends.
