Elite NBA DFS Picks
Guards
James Harden, Clippers
($9,500) vs. Wizards
The star guard enters a favorable matchup against the 10-28 Wizards and could even see increased usage if Kawhi Leonard (ankle) is downgraded from questionable to out. Harden has registered 42.3-plus DK points in five straight appearances, averaging 24.6 points, 8.8 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals over 36.4 minutes per tilt during that span.
Trey Murphy, Pelicans
($8,000) vs. Nets
Murphy is fresh off a 31-point performance in Tuesday's loss to the Nuggets and will look to remain hot against Brooklyn in the second leg of this back-to-back set. The 25-year-old swingman has logged at least 38.8 DK points in all five of his appearances so far this month, during which he has averaged 31.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.2 steals across 36.8 minutes per game.
Forwards/Centers
Joel Embiid, 76ers
($9,300) vs. Cavaliers
Embiid is listed as probable for Wednesday's contest, so his status will be worth monitoring ahead of tipoff. However, the star big man appears likely to play and will look to extend his streak of games with 37.0-plus DK points to 12. Over his last 11 outings, Embiid has averaged 28.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 blocks in 33.0 minutes per game.
Cooper Flagg, Mavericks
($8,300) vs. Nuggets
Flagg has stuffed the stat sheet on a consistent basis, providing 32.3 or more DK points in 15 of his last 16 outings. Additionally, the rookie No. 1 overall pick has yet to have a bad game against the Nuggets this season, against whom he has averaged 28.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks in 36.5 minutes per tilt across two wins. Moreover, Flagg has shot 60.0 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from three-point range versus Denver.
Peyton Watson, Nuggets
($7,700) at Mavericks
Watson has been a regular in the starting lineup since mid-November and has impressed of late while seeing increased usage. The 23-year-old forward has notched at least 32.5 DK points in eight straight appearances, during which he has averaged 24.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks in 37.3 minutes per tilt.
Expected NBA DFS Chalk Picks
Michael Porter, Nets
($8,900) at Pelicans
Porter continues to deliver strong numbers as Brooklyn's top option, generating 40.8 or more DK points in nine consecutive contests. The sharpshooter has averaged 26.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.6 steals in 34.3 minutes per game during that stretch. He also has a favorable matchup versus the Pelicans, against whom he tallied 58.3 DK points Dec. 6.
Mid-Range NBA DFS Picks
Matas Buzelis, Bulls
($6,600) vs. Jazz
Despite not having his most efficient stretch of late, particularly from beyond the arc, Buzelis has been playing at a high level. The second-year forward has recorded at least 29.5 DK points in seven straight games, during which he has averaged 19.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks in 31.0 minutes per contest. He has a prime opportunity to remain productive against a lackluster Utah defense that will be without Lauri Markkanen (illness).
Ayo Dosunmu, Bulls
($5,700) vs. Jazz
Dosunmu has been effective in a bench role for Chicago recently, providing 29.0-plus DK points in seven of his last eight outings. The 25-year-old guard has provided a spark in the absence of Josh Giddey (hamstring), and the former has averaged 15.1 points, 5.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 47.2 percent from deep in 26.8 minutes per contest during that eight-game span.
NBA DFS Value Picks
Tre Johnson, Wizards
($5,200) at Clippers
Johnson has been productive of late, starting nine straight games and finishing with 19.0 or more DK points in each of them. Over that stretch, the sharpshooting rookie has averaged 14.9 points, 2.8 assists, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 three-pointers and 1.2 steals across 26.6 minutes per game.
Tim Hardaway, Nuggets
($4,600) at Mavericks
Hardaway continues to see increased burn with the Nuggets plagued by injuries, and he has scored in double figures in all six of his appearances so far this month. During that span, he's averaging 18.0 points, 3.7 three-pointers and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 44.9 percent from downtown across 30.3 minutes per contest, racking up at least 22.0 DK points in five of those six outings.
Mitchell Robinson, Knicks
($4,100) at Kings
Robinson has come off the bench in three consecutive contests, though he has still finished with at least 20.8 DK points in all of them. Additionally, he has reached that mark in each of his last eight outings with the second unit. The big man averaged 7.4 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 21.6 minutes per tilt in those eight games.
