This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.
Here we go with a one-game playoff slate between the Warriors and Raptors on Monday, June 10.
Because this is a single-game format, the following write-ups will be constructed different. For these contests, DraftKings allows you to roster a "captain" who collects 1.5 times the fantasy points. However, he also costs 1.5x the listed salary. From here, you'll have five remaining utility spots to assemble a lineup. The corresponding analysis will heavily consider the strategy within that while listing viable players to choose from.
TOP PLAYS
Kawhi Leonard – TOR vs. GS ($12,000)
Leonard is the obvious choice to utilize as your captain on DraftKings tonight. The Raptors should have plenty of wind in their sails while trying to become NBA Champions in front of their home crowd. Leonard has predictably made a huge impact in the Finals, averaging 61 fantasy points over his past three games. Go ahead and lock him in through all formats.
Draymond Green – GS at TOR ($10,600)
Green has been the best fantasy producer for Golden State in this series while averaging a solid 42 fantasy points per contest. Even if Kevin Durant returns tonight, Draymond should still be able to post a well-rounded line to cross the 40 fantasy point threshold. He checks in with a cheaper salary than Stephen Curry despite holding realistically similar fantasy potential.
BARGAINS
Andre Iguodala – GS at TOR ($5,400)
Iguodala is one of my favorite cheap plays in this slate. Obviously, we'll need to double-check the status of Durant, but we aren't sure how many minutes he'll see even if the All-Star takes the court. Iguodala saw 38 minutes in Game 4 while posting 22 fantasy points despite only shooting 1-6 from the field. He has been able to consistently produce in the peripheral categories, and there's fantasy upside if his shot is falling.
Marc Gasol – TOR vs. GS ($6,000)
Gasol has had a major impact on this series, hitting 31 or more fantasy points in two of four games. He's consistently seeing 28-30 minutes, which is more than enough to carry realistic upside of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Needless to say, he has a comfortable floor and ceiling combination for fantasy purposes. He's certainly on my short list as a value candidate to round out a lineup through all formats.
Serge Ibaka – TOR vs. GS ($5,000)
Ibaka doesn't see as many minutes as Gasol, but he's cheaper with similar value potential. Ibaka has really come to life over the past three games with a strong 28 fantasy point average over that span. That will more than suffice considering he only costs $5,000 on DraftKings. You could look towards Ibaka or Danny Green ($4,400) as cheap bargains under $5k, but I believe Ibaka carries a higher fantasy floor despite seeing less minutes.
