Top DFS Pitching and Team Stacking Strategies for DraftKings

In this article, I'm going to take a deeper dive into pitching and team stacking options. Let's take a look at our optimizer's rankings of the pitchers for the DraftKings 11-game main slate, sorted by projected fantasy points.

*No weather issues expected.

A larger slate tonight brings us six starters priced $9k or higher including a pair at $10k+ in Shane Bieber and George Kirby. My preference between the two is Bieber as he features the lowest FIP and highest strikeout rate on the slate (albeit a limited sample size). The Astros also rank 27th in team wOBA in the last 30 days.

We've also highlighted Emmet Sheehan, Zebby Matthews and Chad Patrick in our optimizer. Matthews is the top point-per-dollar option in a matchup against the strikeout heavy Angels. And then there's Sheehan who faces a Rockies team that has an OPS under .600 (!) away from Coors Field. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Connelly Early (2.83 ERA, 36 Ks in 28.2 IP at Triple-A) will make his MLB debut after Dustin May landed on the IL this morning. Note that Michael King and Will Warren rank well in the metrics below.

Here's how each pitcher ranks in key categories (less than 10 IP marked as N/A):
