2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kreider had an incredibly disappointing showing in 2024-25, compiling 22 goals, 152 shots, 79 hits and a career-low eight assists across 68 appearances. He dealt with injuries and sat as a healthy scratch in a challenging campaign for several members of the Rangers. The 34-year-old winger had a back issue, experienced vertigo and underwent offseason hand surgery. The Rangers dealt the veteran winger to Anaheim in the offseason. Kreider amassed 39 goals and 75 points through 82 regular-season outings in 2023-24, and he has surpassed the 70-point plateau in two of the last four years. Assuming he’s healthy in 2025-26, he has plenty of bounce-back appeal and can provide potential fantasy managers with solid category coverage. Still, he is a slight risk and could slip in drafts because of the uncertainty surrounding his durability and dependability. Read Past Outlooks

First two goals with new team
Kreider scored twice on five shots and added two hits in Saturday's 7-6 overtime win over the Sharks.
ANALYSIS
Kreider's first goal was a power-play tally late in the second period. He scored in the final minute of the third as well, forcing overtime, where Leo Carlsson completed the Ducks' comeback win. Kreider has added six shots on net and four hits over his first two games with Anaheim. He's seeing power-play time, but head coach Joel Quenneville isn't using Kreider in shorthanded situations yet. He scored 13 shorthanded goals over the last four years with the Rangers. Fantasy managers will like to see him stay in the top six, and he'll need to stay productive to do that throughout 2025-26.

Kreider notched 39 goals and 75 points in 82 games last campaign. He rebounded nicely after dropping to 54 points in 2022-23. Kreider was expected to regress following a 52-goal, 77-point eruption in 2021-22, but his performance this past season showed he can still be a 70-point producer. The 33-year-old winger's prospects are promising going into the 2024-25 season, but tempered expectations are advised due to concerns about his year-to-year consistency. He is a high-volume shooter who is also capable of getting over 100 hits and works well as a net-front presence on the power play. Potential fantasy managers may regret selecting him too high in drafts, but Kreider remains a multi-category threat in most formats.
