Pitcher
Madison Bumgarner, SF at MIA ($24,800) – Bumgarner has been good since his return, but he hasn't been elite, which is reason for some hesitation. With that said, he's only allowed four runs total in his four most recent starts. If he can get his strikeouts back up, he'd be elite once again.
Danny Salazar, CLE at MN ($23,700) - Salazar's issue is his consistency as he enters with a 4.15 ERA. However, he's on a good run right now, having allowed just four runs total in his four most recent starts. His strikeouts have been up recently as well, which makes him more attractive in this spot.
INFIELD
Cody Bellinger, LAD vs CHW ($10,400) – Unlike his American League rookie counterpart Aaron Judge, Bellinger has managed to avoid a prolonged slump and continues to produce at a high level. Miguel Gonzalez takes the hill for the White Sox, and although he's had some good starts lately, he's also had some blow-ups and this looks like a spot for a blow-up. Bellinger leads the Dodgers with a .413 wOBA against righties this season.
Chris Taylor, LAD vs CHW ($9,200) – As mentioned, Gonzalez is in a vulnerable spot against the Dodgers and chances are he'll get hit early and often. If that's the case, Taylor is likely to get in on the fun as he's been one of the better Dodgers hitters against righties this season. Taylor enters with a .394 wOBA against righties, which is second on the team behind Bellinger.
Josh Donaldson, TOR at TB ($9,000) – Donaldson has been on a tear lately with seven home runs in his past 12 games, and he has a favorable matchup against Blake Snell. Snell was sent down to the minors last week but was recalled due to an injury. Snell pitched well in his most recent outing, but his season-long ERA is 4.69, which means a quick regression is likely. Donaldson enters with a .382 wOBA against lefties this season.
OUTFIELD
Jay Bruce, CLE at MN ($8,800) – One more good outing and I'll be forced to quit picking on Bartolo Colon, but I'm not quite convinced yet that he's found the Fountain of Youth. Part of the problem with Colon is that the bar is set so low and any outing where he doesn't get pounded seems like a gem. With that said, he did pitch out of his mind in his most recent start, but that was against a Brewers team that was reeling at the time. If Colon gets rocked tonight, Bruce is likely to lead the charge as he enters with a .372 wOBA against righties this season.
Mikie Mahtook, DET at TEX ($7,800) – The Tigers are better as a team against lefties, but there are a couple guys in the lineup that are more than capable of getting to a vulnerable righty. A.J. Griffin certainly qualifies as vulnerable as he's been awful lately, allowing 22 runs over his last 18.2 innings. Mahtook enters with a .362 wOBA against righties this season, which leads the Tigers.
Guillermo Heredia, SEA vs BAL ($6,000) – Wade Miley was sharp in his most recent start, but I'll need to see more outings like that before I quit targeting him with opposition stacks. While I won't be targeting Miley with a full stack tonight, that's because the Mariners are not great against lefties as a whole. With that in mind, there are a couple bats that look good and Heredia provides an inexpensive option. Heredia enters with a .368 wOBA against lefties this season, which is second on the team behind Danny Valencia.
UTILITY
Mike Moustakas, KC at OAK ($9,600) – Facing another struggling righty, the Royals are again one of the better stacks on the board. Chris Smith enters with a 5.29 ERA, but he's been really bad lately, allowing 13 runs in his past 15 innings. Moustakas enters with a .381 wOBA against righties this season, which is second on the Royals behind Eric Hosmer.
Kris Bryant, CHC vs CIN ($10,000) – Bryant has been on a tear lately with 16 hits in his past seven games. He's also homered in his past two and last year's MVP is starting to find his form once again. Bryant enters with a .393 wOBA against righties this season, which leads the Cubs and is top-20 in the majors. The Cubs face Luis Castillo, who has been decent this year, so I'll be avoiding a Cubs stack, but I have no problem spending up for Bryant.
