MATCHES (EST)
- 3:00 pm: Atalanta vs. Valencia
- 3:00 pm: Tottenham Hotspur vs. RB Leipzig
FORWARDS
Timo Werner, RBL at TOT (€28): Werner has failed to score in four straight games, but it's not for a lack of trying. He took 13 shots over that span, and with RB Leipzig looking to knick an away goal, we can expect him to be firing at goal.
Duvan Zapata, ATA v. VAL (€25): Zapata and Werner are neck-and-neck atop the anytime goal scorer odds list. He has a goal or an assist in four of his last five games, and with Atalanta expected to push the envelope going forward, chances should be aplenty in the home leg versus Valencia.
Steven Bergwijn, ATA v. VAL (€20): Bergwijn will be expected to shoulder a bigger part of the attacking load with Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min injured. He's averaged 11 fantasy points per game since entering the starting XI two games ago, and given how thin Spurs are up front, we can expect him to continue to see opportunities come his way.
MIDFIELDERS
Alejandro Gomez, ATA v. VAL (€25): Gomez fuels the Atalanta attack, racking up shots, crosses and fouls drawn on a consistent basis. The Italian side should have their foot on the gas pedal as they look to kick-start their knockout stage run, putting Gomez in prime position for another big fantasy point haul.
Josip Ilicic, ATA v. VAL (€16): Ilicic has been playing higher up the field as a true forward, so it seems kind of wacky that he's available as a midfielder. He comes at a manageable price, and with Atalanta the biggest favorite on this micro slate, exposure to their attack is warranted.
Giovani Lo Celso, TOT v. RBL (€11): Lo Celso could benefit from Son breaking his arm despite a sparkling two-goal performance Sunday. If he earns a start, he's likely to see a share of set pieces, if not the majority. That's reason enough to take a shot at him at near minimum price.
DEFENDERS
Robin Gosens, ATA v. VAL (€17): Gosens is no stranger to getting up the left channel and joining in on the attack. He tallied an assist over the weekend, running his totals up to seven goals and five assists in Serie A action. Look for the German to be active on the flank with Atalanta pressing the tempo, with a good shot at clean sheet points, to boot.
Serge Aurier, TOT v. RBL (€16): Aurier doesn't have the gaudy attacking numbers by his name, but don't let that fool you as he's fully capable of making an impact going forward. On top of his attacking appeal, Aurier typically supplies a cluster of defensive stats to give him a respectable floor heading into Wednesday's clash.
Hans Hateboer, ATA v. VAL (€11): Hateboer is almost minimum priced for the team with the best clean sheet odds on the slate. It might be a stretch to think the right-back gets involved going forward, but for the savings he brings he's worthy of consideration to free up funds elsewhere
GOALKEEPER
Pierluigi Gollini, ATA v. VAL (€15): Gollini has the best win and clean sheet odds on the slate, and he's also the cheapest goalkeeper of the projected starters. That's reason enough to roster him given the volatility of the position.
