FORWARDS
Harry Kane, TOT v. WOL ($13,500): If you feel the need to spend on a top forward, Kane is the only one who makes sense; Spurs are rolling, Kane has made the score sheet in his last six starts in all competitions and has the best odds to score. The reason to avoid him is that he doesn't have much of a floor, and while Wolves can be feisty, they struggled against Liverpool and couldn't beat Fulham. Otherwise, trusting the forwards in the Liverpool-Arsenal match is a little more difficult since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ($12,000) is the best goal scorer of the bunch and it'll be hard to use him at Anfield.
Aleksandar Mitrovic, FUL v. HUD ($9,500): Mitrovic is just as enticing as some of the more expensive options even though he hasn't scored since November. His floor has remained consistent, scoring at least 14.9 fantasy points in his last four starts at home. Huddersfield aren't allowing a ton of shots, but they're allowing more than two goals per match on the road and have lost their last six in league play. In this range you can't do much better, though Lucas Moura ($10,000) could be popular if he makes the starting XI again.
Jamie Vardy, LEI v. CAR ($9,000): Vardy is in the same mold as Mitrovic but with a slightly lower floor. He's hit double-digit fantasy points in his last seven appearances and has made the score sheet in four of the last five. Meanwhile, Cardiff have allowed the most shots (94), shots on goal (34) and third-most goals (11) over the last five gameweeks. Playing at home coming off two incredible wins, Vardy is in prime position to add to his goal tally. Betting on Vardy is much easier than hoping a cheaper option like Troy Deeney ($8,000) or Glenn Murray ($8,000) can find the back of the net.
MIDFIELDERS
Mohamed Salah, LIV v. ARS ($11,500): If you don't use Kane, Salah is the obvious option with the next-best odds to score. He has five goals and two assists in his last four appearances, and this match has the highest implied goal total, partly due due to Arsenal's leaky back line that has allowed at least three goals in five of the last six matches against Liverpool. Salah has been near last season's levels in recent weeks, and it's hard to see him being rested for this matchup. At this point, he's almost guaranteed to get multiple shots and chances created, and you can't even say that about Kane. If you use Kane and don't have room for Salah, Sadio Mane ($9,500) is the other way to go in order to benefit if Liverpool score multiple goals. Of course, he hasn't made the score sheet in the last two matches.
Son Heung-Min, TOT v. WOL ($9,500): If Son makes the starting XI, there's no doubt he'll be in the majority of lineups. He's been maybe the best fantasy player in the league lately, with six goals and two assists in his last four starts. His price is still too low given that production and back at home, there's little reason to go against him. The hope for Tottenham backers is that they don't fall off if they make a couple changes to the lineup, which is what has happened in the past. Then again, Spurs are playing their best and are the biggest favorite on the slate for a reason. Plus, since Son is still fairly cheap, it's hard to legitimatize taking anyone else in the same range.
Alex Pritchard, HUD at FUL ($6,500): If you want to maximize Tottenham and Liverpool players, Pritchard is a solid third midfielder to consider. He's been quietly productive in the last two matches, with three shots and six chances created, helped by corner duties in Aaron Mooy's absence. In fact, Pritchard was the only Huddersfield player wo took a free kick last match. Throw in a matchup with Fulham, who are still a mystery defensively and have given up the most goals in the league, and Pritchard is a steal. For a little more money, Jean Michael Seri ($7,000) and Andre Schurrle ($7,500) are worth looks on the other side of the field, while Philip Billing ($8,000) has supplied a great floor for a few more bucks.
DEFENDERS
Kieran Trippier, TOT v. WOL ($6,500): Trippier was rested last match, so he should return to the starting XI against Wolverhampton. He hasn't shown much upside in recent starts, but the opportunity for an assist will always be there as a main corner taker, in addition to grabbing a clean sheet. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ricardo Pereira are in the same mold at the same price and it's only a matter of preference, though Trippier has the best matchup. Then again, Lucas Digne ($5,500) could be most popular of the full-backs coming off a brace.
Denis Odoi, FUL v. HUD ($4,500): I'm usually not big into Fulham defenders, but Huddersfield forced the most clearances in the league (190) over the last five matches, and 578 for the season. Odoi is usually good for at least 10 fantasy points, but with more work he has hit 15 numerous times. He's averaging 1.39 tackles and 5.82 clearances per 90 minutes, and if Huddersfield continue to lose the ball on the attacking end, Odoi could easily surpass his regular numbers. Davinson Sanchez ($4,500) is a solid play if he starts for Tottenham again, while Jamaal Lascelles ($5,500) and Calum Chambers ($5,500) provide better floors for more money.
Jonny, WOL at TOT ($4,000): Jonny has dropped in price even though he's had at least 11 fantasy points in his last four starts. The downside is that he hasn't played a full 90 in the last two, but he's consistently creating chances (1.14 per 90 minutes) while adding tackles (2.92) and interceptions (1.92). Plus, if he's forced to stay in a more defensive role due to the matchup, that could lead to more defensive stats and a better floor. None of the other expected starters at this price have been as consistent.
GOALKEEPER
Ben Foster, WAT v. NEW ($4,500): Foster has the third-best odds to get a clean sheet and costs much les than the top two options, Hugo Lloris ($6,500) and Kasper Schmeichel ($5,500). Foster is far from reliable, but Newcastle haven't scored in their last two matches and have just 14 goals all season. Lloris is the best choice if you have the money, scoring at least 16.5 fantasy points in four of his last five starts. If you don't trust Foster, David Button and Jonas Lossl are also possibilities at the same price, though with worse odds to win.
