2025 Fantasy Outlook
Havertz was off to an excellent start in the 2024/25 campaign before injuries derailed him and limited him to 1,874 minutes in 23 appearances (21 starts). He finished with nine goals and three assists and was the team's top-choice striker prior to injury. He's never going to be a clinical out-and-out striker who pushes for 20 goals, but he links up well with Bukayo Saka and can finish the chances that fall for him. Havertz appears set to have more competition in the attack next season, and if that happens, his goal tally will likely drop. But either way, when healthy, Havertz still figures to have a spot in the starting XI no matter who is in the team.

Still months from return
Havertz (knee) is expected to remain out for months, not weeks, with his knee injury, per manager Mikel Arteta. "With Kai, we know that it will be months with him. I don't know if it can be weeks, you never know because this is Kai and he's a different specimen. We really miss him. Hopefully, he will be back, and back for the long term as well, so it is very important to look after that knee. So far, he's progressing pretty well."
ANALYSIS
Havertz underwent surgery at the end of August and while there have been reports of quick recovery, that doesn't mean he's been on the pitch training. He's still hopeful to return at some point in November as long as everything goes to plan. Viktor Gyokeres has almost played exclusively as the No. 9 and even when Havertz returns, his role will likely be extremely fluid.

Increases load on knee
Havertz (knee) has increased the load this week and could be back in a few weeks, coach Mikel Arteta said in the press conference. "Yeah, he's looking really good, he's walking freely. He's starting to load the knee and started to do some bits. As I said before, I think we're taking it from weeks to months. But knowing Kai, I cannot give you any time scale because I know what he's going to try to do. So I think he's in a good moment. It was a very tough decision for him to go and have that procedure done. But I think it was necessary and it was the right decision from the medical team to persuade him to do that."

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Form might change transfer plans
Havertz's recent form might lead to a change in Arsenal's transfer plans for the summer, according to The Mirror.
ANALYSIS
Arsenal were expected to sign a striker in the summer since they were getting virtually no production from either Gabriel Jesus or Kai Havertz. However, the German has been playing well in recent weeks, and Mikel Arteta is now pretty confident on opening the 2024-25 campaign with Havertz as the main threat upfront. If that's the case, then they wouldn't be serious contenders in the race to sign the likes of Ivan Toney or Victor Osimhen.
