Aric Almirola came away with the win at Las Vegas, beating Connor Zilisch by just over half of a second while leading the final nine laps. That keeps the final two spots in the championship race up for grabs, with Zilisch and Justin Allgaier all but locked in to the Championship race. The final spot currently belongs to Sam Mayer, but he has a narrow eight-point advantage over Brandon Jones. There's almost certainly going to be a significant amount of chaos in the series return to superspeedway racing, so the picture could look significantly different heading into Martinsville next weekend.

There are a few things we can count on at Talladega, namely plenty of cautions and Chevrolet dominance. In the spring race, 23 of 113 laps (20.4 percent) were run under yellow with five total cautions taking place. As a result, starting track position doesn't mean all that much and can be disregarded more than at just about any other track.
The other notable trend at the track is the dominance of Chevrolet, which continued this spring. A Chevrolet driver has won each of the last 12 races at the track.

This is a fun DFS week because it's been a while since NASCAR has been at a superspeedway, and a specific group of drivers is seemingly able to rise above their peers at this type of track. Austin Hill and Jesse Love stand alone. While Hill has only one win at Talladega to his name, he has led 208 laps across his last six races at the track, compiling a 106.6 driver rating. Love, Hill's teammate, is right there with him, logging a 121.4 driver rating while also posting an insane average finish of 3.3 in three races at Talladega. It's very difficult to roster both this weekend, but either is a justifiable choice to build lineups through.
Sheldon Creed is the other high-profile driver in the series who has stood out historically at Talladega. He has four consecutive top-10 finishes at Talladega, two of which have been top fives.
While the other names in the sample lineup are all familiar names, they are stronger plays than is typically the case this weekend. Despite the price discrepancy, Jeb Burton is arguably the strongest play in the midfield. Since 2021, Burton has a pair of wins and three total top-five results at Talladega – the most recent of which came this spring. He has also finished outside the top-10 only twice in an eight-race sample.
Sieg has a more inconsistent profile, but he has spiked big results at this track, tallying three top-five finishes in his last six races. The difference between he and J. Burton is that he's finished 22nd, 17th and 36th in the other three races.
Best Bets for United Rentals 250
Race Winner – Austin Hill (+350), Jesse Love (+550), Sheldon Creed (+1600)
Top-Five Finish - Jeb Burton (+300)
Head-to-Head Matchups:
Sam Mayer (-120) vs. Sheldon Creed (-110)
Nick Sanchez (-120) vs. Ryan Sieg (-110)
Aric Almirola (-105) vs. Sammy Smith (-125)
The unique results we anticipate at Talladega create an interesting opportunity at sportsbooks that we typically don't get. Jeb Burton's consistency at the track has been covered, and his track record typically doesn't lead to this type of value at sportsbooks.
Sam Mayer and Sammy Smith are strong drivers in the series, but their results haven't carried over to Talladega. There's some value in the head-to-head matchups against them.
Sieg vs. Sanchez is one of the more interesting matchups for the race. Sieg has been boom or bust driver at this track, while Sanchez finished well this spring but has a limited track record.
