SLATE PREVIEW
All six games will be available on FanDuel's all day slate starting with Coyotes at Wild (2 p.m. EST) and finishing with the Battle of Ontario as Toronto travels to Ottawa (7 p.m.).
The Islanders at Devils (5 p.m.), Stars at Blue Jackets (5 p.m.) and the Maple Leafs are playing back-to-back.
GOALIES
Ilya Sorokin, NYI at NJ ($8,700): Sorokin will get the start after Semyon Varlamov started yesterday. Anders Lee's absence was felt throughout with the Isles trailing 2-1 for most of the game, but they still managed to limit Jersey to 28 shots. Of note, the Devils have lost eight of their last nine and against the Isles.
Philipp Grubauer, COL vs. LA ($8,400): Grubauer should get the nod again after an 18-save shutout last game. As long as the Avalanche control the possession game – which they should with a healthy Nathan MacKinnon – the Kings don't stand much of a chance. The Avs have only allowed 70 shots in three previous games versus the Kings.
Alex Nedeljkovic, CAR at DET ($8,300): Based on their current rotation and Nedeljkovic's awesome play winning four of his past five starts, he should get the nod for this game. It's a good matchup for the Hurricanes even if they're missing key bodies and they're 2-1 against the Wings this season – with the only loss coming in their second game of the season – holding a 10-6 advantage in goals.
Michael Hutchinson, TOR at OTT ($8,100): The Leafs are reeling from a poor series against the Jets, but the Senators represent an opponent they should be able to defeat handily. Hutchinson has posted a .934 Sv% this season and also gets plenty of goal support.
Cam Talbot, MIN vs. ARI ($8,000): Talbot will get the start after a shutout win in his last game. The Coyotes' offense looked better, but only managed 25 shots. The Wild are 8-3-0 at home - the second-best record in the West - while the Coyotes have produced five road wins and - excluding the four against a leaky Blues' goaltending - have scored just 11 goals in six contests away from home.
VALUE PLAYS
Filip Zadina, DET vs. CAR ($3,800): The Red Wings' offense was surprisingly resilient against the Lightning, who had to stage comebacks to win the series. Zadina, in particular, has been playing very well with five points in his past three games. His offense has come in spurts this season and he's currently got the hot hand.
Jason Robertson, DAL at CBJ ($3,700): Robertson played on the top line Saturday with Joe Pavelski and finished with four shots in 17 minutes. The Jackets will start Joonas Korpisalo, who has struggled lately allowing seven goals over his past two starts. The Stars' offense is difficult to predict because they lack an elite go-to player, but they've managed 19 goals in five games.
Jason Dickinson, DAL at CBJ ($3,600): Two of Dickinson's four goals this season have come against the Jackets, and he lined up as the second-line center yesterday despite being listed as a winger with Roope Hintz out of the lineup. Dickinson finished with an assist and two shots in roughly 20 minutes.
Kieffer Bellows, NYI at NJ ($3,000): Bellows was the player head coach Barry Trotz promoted to the top line and he promptly responded with two goals. Stylistically, Bellows' physical play is more similar to Anders Lee than Anthony Beauvillier or Josh Bailey. And with such a solid performance, it's unlikely Trotz will make any changes.
LINE STACKS
Wild vs. Coyotes
Victor Rask (C - $4,000), Kirill Kaprizov (W - $6,100), Mats Zuccarello (W - $5,500)
You can skip Rask for this line stack and just pick Kaprizov and Zuccarello since they're the only players providing offense. They're devastating in transition and creating chances as well as any duo in the league.
Islanders at Devils
Mathew Barzal (C - $6,900), Kieffer Bellows (W - $3,000), Jordan Eberle (W - $5,700)
This was the only line that didn't really struggle, leading all Isles' combos with 10:51 in even-strength ice time and 11 scoring chances. Not to take anything away from Lee, but Barzal and Eberle have been a dynamite combo all season.
Avalanche vs. Kings
Nathan MacKinnon (C - $8,500), Mikko Rantanen (W - $8,100), Gabriel Landeskog (W - $6,500)
The Avs have dominated possession in their past few games and have gone 4-1-1 in their current homestand, so I don't expect this matchup to be any different. I see this line stack and Auston Matthews' trio to be popular tonight.
DEFENSEMEN
Dougie Hamilton, CAR at DET ($5,900): Hamilton's two-point effort against the Preds extended his point streak to seven games. He's also produced three assists across two games against the Wings this year.
Samuel Girard, COL vs. LA ($5,000): Girard had a quiet outing last time out but still finished with four shots and blocked another two in a shutout win. He's been steady for the Avs in Cale Makar's absence and should be one of the safer options tonight. Devon Toews ($4,700) is also a decent choice, but doesn't see as much time on the power play.
Matt Dumba, MIN vs. ARI ($4,500): Dumba has scored a goal and an assist on 11 shots over his past two games against the Coyotes. The Minnesota defense doesn't jump up on the play too often. But when they do, it's usually Dumba.
