Tournament Preview
The European tour is in Germany this week for the Porsche European Open at Green Eagle Golf Course. The par 72 plays exceptionally long at 7,582 yards, so distance off the tee will be at premium this week. In addition to the massive length, accuracy from the fairways will prove equally important with the many grand bunkers and oversized bodies of water. Patience on this first-time course could be the difference between success and failure, since this is the first time this tournament will be contested here.

DraftKings Picks
Charl Schwartzel $10,800 (12/1)
Charl comes in off a T62 at the Open. He has continued his consistent form this year, finishing as high as T2 at the FedEx St. Jude Classic last month. Schwartzel bombs it off the tee, averaging over 307 yards, has hit 67.5 percent of greens in regulation and also ranks 45th in putting. He is a world-class player and a fantastic fantasy option.
Jordan Smith $7,900 (45/1)
Jordan is an attractive option in the mid-range tier, as he has made his last seven cuts and comes in playing some good golf. He is 80th in driving distance, averaging almost 299 yards. He is ranked 44th in greens in regulation and is also accurate off the tee. Smith also finished T20 at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open and seems poised to make the next step.
Julian Suri $7,300 (80/1)
In just his second year playing in Europe, the young American is having a breakout season. Julian finished second at Open de Portugal and T23 at Lyoness Open. He is ranked 21st in driving distance and is hitting 67.5 percent of greens in regulation. This rising new talent should find continued success this week.
Trevor Fisher $6,900 (150/1)
Trevor has made three straight cuts since the miss in Sicily. He has great iron play, ranking 25th in greens in regulation, and is no slouch off the tee with an average of over 290 yards. Fisher played well in Germany last month, finishing T20, and at this price, he appears to be a solid option. He is my value play of the week.
