Tournament Preview
The European Tour heads to Germany this week for European Open at Green Eagle Golf Courses for the third year in a row. One of the longest courses on tour at 7,544 yards, Green Eagle is a flat, parkland course with wide fairways and water hazards throughout. The greens are large and undulating. Past results at Green Eagle have shown all aspects of a golfer's game will be tested. Although the course is long, shorter hitters have had success. Accuracy with approach shots will once again be key.

DraftKings Picks
Thomas Pieters - $10,100 (14/1)
Pieters arrives in Germany in great form. He won last month at the Czech Masters and finished T12 at European Masters last week. Pieters easily could have finished near the top if his putter would have heated up. He has not competed at Green Eagle the last two years, but he should gobble this coarse up with his par-5 scoring ability. If the putter shows up in Germany, this could be his second win in three attempts.
Matthias Schwab - $9,400 (28/1)
Schwab has been in striking distance of the top on and off all season. He has five top-10s since spring. The last two events have been particularly strong with a T5 and T8 at Omega European Masters. Schwab finished T7 last year at the European Open, making this week seem even more likely for another strong finish. He is 38th on tour in SG: approach and 35th in par-5 scoring.
Renato Paratore - $8,100 (66/1)
I mentioned Paratore last week as a good option at the bottom price tier. He came through with a T12 in Switzerland and gets a significant price jump this week. I think at $8,100 he is still worth it in Germany. He was T2 at Green Eagle last year and the form is too good to ignore. He has made four cuts in a row with last week being his highest finish. Paratore is ranked 78th in par-5 scoring.
David Drysdale - $6,900 (225/1)
This is another week with good options at the bottom of the pricing. Drysdale enters the tournament following a T23 last week with a 66 in the final round. The Scotsman has been sporadic with his finishes, but Green Eagle Golf Courses was good to him last year. He finished T9 and one would think he is confident returning in Germany. He is accurate off the tee and with his irons, he could be worth a look this week.
