Cleveland Browns RB Roles
Team: Cleveland Browns
Last Update:   6/19/2025
RB Overview
Role Security: High
6/19/25 - The Browns drafted Quinshon Judkins with their second pick and he’s expected to step in as the lead early-down and short-yardage back. Jerome Ford will likely serve as the primary receiving back, but fourth-round rookie Dylan Sampson could push him for snaps with a strong camp. This backfield could evolve quickly if either Ford or Sampson emerges.
WR Overview
6/19/25 - Jerry Jeudy earned 145 targets in 2024 and enters this season as the clear No. 1 WR. Cedric Tillman was trending toward a breakout before a season-ending concussion in Week 12, and he should return as the No. 2. Michael Woods, despite minimal production since entering the league in 2022, could open camp as the No. 3. Jamari Thrash and DeAndre Carter are both in the mix to challenge for that third spot.
TE Overview
6/19/25 - David Njoku saw 97 targets in just 11 games last season and should remain the top tight end option. The Browns spent a third-round pick on Harold Fannin, but as long as Njoku stays healthy, Fannin is unlikely to play a major role. He’ll serve as the No. 2 TE heading into the season.
