8/27/25 - Joe Mixon will miss at least 4 games with an ankle imnjury. Nick Chubb appears set to take over the lead role while Mixon is out. Woody Marks and Dameon Pierce will compete for depth roles.
WR Overview
8/27/25 - Nico Collins was targeted 99 times in 12 games as the No. 1 WR and should remain a high-volume option. Houston drafted Jayden Higgins in the second round, and he projects as a full-time outside WR opposite Collins. The Texans also traded for Christian Kirk, who will likely compete with Jaylin Noel for slot snaps and the No. 3 role. Kirk should be the favorite to win the slot role. Xavier Hutchinson will compete for a depth role. Tank Dell (knee) may not be healthy in 2025.
TE Overview
8/27/25 - Dalton Schultz is the lead tight end, but with a deep and talented wide receiver corps, his weekly target share may fluctuate. Cade Stover has the No. 2 TE job.
