NFL Position Roles - Philadelphia Eagles

07/10/25- Saquon Barkley could match last year’s workload of 22.5 carries, 2.5 targets, and 43 percent of red zone work. Will Shipley is the early favorite for change-of-pace duties, while AJ Dillon may compete for backup snaps but could struggle to earn a defined role.

07/10/25- A.J. Brown is the clear No. 1 option, though he averaged just 8 targets per game from Week 13 on last season. Devonta Smith is locked in as the No. 2 after averaging 7 targets from Week 10 forward. Jahan Dotson was lightly used as the No. 3 and likely remains a low-volume piece. Johnny Wilson and Terrace Marshall will compete for depth spots in camp.

07/10/25- Dallas Goedert remains the lead tight end and should dominate playing time. Grant Calcaterra projects for a minimal role as the No. 2.
