2024 Fantasy Outlook
Means was taken 170th overall and was the Saints' final selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Pittsburgh product came on as an explosive downfield threat in 2023, catching 41 of 84 targets for 721 yards and six touchdowns. His catch rate was below average (49 percent), but some of this could be due to shoddy quarterback play. At 6-1 and 212 pounds, Means also has the size and speed (4.43 40-yard dash) to play inside or outside receiver. The Saints have two solid starting wideouts in Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed followed by Cedrick Wilson, Equanimeous St. Brown and 2023 sixth-rounder A.T. Perry. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Heads to injured reserve
The Saints placed Means (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Getting diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain typically equates to a multi-game absence, and the Saints have made it official for Means, ruling him out for the next four contests. He'll be first eligible to return Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Giants, but for the time being he'll join fellow WR Rashid Shaheed (knee) on injured reserve.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Set for large role Thursday
Means profiles as the top target for rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler against the Broncos on Thursday, as Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports that Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed have been ruled out due to a concussion and knee injury, respectively.
ANALYSIS
With the team's top two wide receivers sidelined, New Orleans is down to Means, Mason Tipton and Cedrick Wilson in the wide receiver room, though reinforcements could come from the practice squad in the form of Equanimeous St. Brown, Kevin Austin, Dante Pettis and/or Jermaine Jackson. Means' 45 receiving yards this season are the most among that group of available wide receivers, and all of that yardage came in Rattler's Week 6 NFL debut against the Buccaneers. The banged-up Saints passing attack will face a depleted Broncos secondary that will be without star cornerback Patrick Surtain due to a concussion.
