Arian Smith

23-Year-Old Wide ReceiverWR
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Smith was selected 110th overall by the Jets in the 2025 NFL Draft after leading Georgia with 841 receiving yards in 2024. His 4.36 speed brings a unique element to a Jets offense with a wide open WR depth chart behind Garrett Wilson, but Smith had an SEC-worst 10 drops in his final college season. Smith could carve out a prominent role right away if he curbs the drops, or he could be stuck behind some combination of Allen Lazard, Josh Reynolds, Malachi Corley, Tyler Johnson and Xavier Gipson. Heads to Jets in fourth round
WRNew York Jets
April 26, 2025
The Jets selected Smith in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 110th overall.
ANALYSIS
Smith waited his turn in a crowded Georgia receiver room and rarely played through his first four seasons. However, he racked up 48 receptions, a team-high 817 receiving yards and four touchdowns in his fifth season. His 4.36 40-yard dash and 19.9 yards per catch during his career signal that he'll be a deep threat at the next level, although his route running and hands need some polish. The Jets have no clear order after No. 1 wideout Garrett Wilson, so Smith could have a role immediately, even if it's in a decoy capacity at first.

Silencing doubts about hands
WRNew York Jets
August 1, 2025
Smith, who experienced trouble with drops during his final year at the University of Georgia, has made several difficult catches during training camp, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Smith was officially charged with nine dropped passes during the 2024 season with the Bulldogs, but he still finished with 48 receptions for 817 yards and four touchdowns across 14 games. The Jets invested a fourth-round pick in the speedster, and he's rewarded their faith thus far with several impressive catches, including a bomb from Justin Fields and a seven-yard touchdown reception from Tyrod Taylor in Friday's practice. Cimini notes Smith is a "lock" to make the roster thanks to his 4.36 speed and ability to play special teams.
