Stands out in preseason opener
Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site lists Williams as one of five standout players in Thursday's 14-3 preseason loss to the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Williams is competing for a depth spot on the Lions' wide receiver corps behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Kalif Raymond. Isaiah Williams, whom Detroit signed as an undrafted free agent in May, got off to a nice start by leading the Lions with four catches for 35 yards Thursday. He also showed off his prowess on special teams, returning two kickoffs for 56 yards. Strong performances across the final two preseason games could push Williams onto the Lions' 53-man roster at the conclusion of training camp.
