Reynolds is joining the Jets alongside head coach Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand, who were part of Detroit's coaching staff when Reynolds played there from 2021 to 2023. Reynolds was a useful depth piece with 608 receiving yards and five TDs for the Lions in 2023, but he had just 194 yards in nine games split between the Broncos and Jaguars in 2024. Reynolds signed with the Broncos in free agency. If Tim Patrick is unable to return to form after missing the last two seasons with injuries and rookie Troy Franklin isn’t ready to take on a major role, Reynolds could earn a starting outside receiver role. Reynolds had the second 600-yard season of his career and tied his career high of five touchdowns in 2023. However, the receiver was much better early in the season. During the first seven games, Reynolds posted at least 43 yards six times. The veteran fell off down the stretch. Even ifReynolds holds onto a starting role, he is unlikely to perform better in Denver than he did in Detroit, where the offense was much better.
