Week 13 action continues Friday with a one-game NFL Yahoo DFS slate for Bears vs. Eagles at 3:00 pm EST. Yahoo will also run its usual main slate NFL DFS contests Sunday.
Playing in guaranteed prize pool (GPP) Yahoo DFS football contests is about chasing upside, while lineups geared toward head-to-head, 50/50 or double-up formats should prioritize high floors. The players you want to target for these different contest types aren't mutually exclusive, but winning a GPP tournament usually requires finding a hidden gem or going against the grain in a spot or two while building a solid base of the same chalk plays you would use anywhere. Against-the-grain plays typically consist of big-name players in tough matchups or boom-or-bust types with uncertain roles.
Keep in mind that Yahoo DFS football contests use 0.5 PPR scoring rather than full PPR, which lowers the comparative value of wide receivers and running backs (in that order) while especially affecting high-volume pass-catchers. NFL DFS Yahoo lineups for single-game contests consist of one SUPERSTAR spot that has the same cap hit but scores with a 1.5X multiplier, as well as four FLEX spots, with a $139 salary cap under which to fit your five-player lineup. The recommendations below will be broken down by position, but you can use QBs, RBs, WRs, TEs or D/ST units with no minimum or maximum requirements per position.
QUARTERBACK
Jalen Hurts ($42) is likely to be the most-used option in the SUPERSTAR spot, as he has the most fantasy points this season among players in Friday's game. He typically produces significant value with both his arm and legs, with a 17:1 TD:INT as a passer, as well as eight rushing TDs. Hurts needs two rushing scores to reach double digits for a fifth consecutive season. The Bears' 22 passing TDs allowed are tied for third-most in the NFL through Week 12, though Chicago's defense has also generated a league-high 16 interceptions.
Caleb Williams ($38) still struggles with accuracy, but the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has taken a substantial step forward in 2025 under new head coach Ben Johnson, especially as a rusher. All three of Williams' career rushing TDs have come in 2025, and he's averaging 37.4 rushing yards across his last five outings. Williams also has a tidy 16:4 TD:INT as a passer in 2025, but he's facing a locked-in Eagles defense that has limited its last three opponents to just 13.3 points per game. Philadelphia's 11 passing TDs allowed are tied for fourth-fewest in the NFL.
RUNNING BACK
Saquon Barkley ($33) has seen his effectiveness drop off dramatically compared to his first season in Philadelphia, as he's averaging a modest 3.7 yards per carry in 2025 after rushing for an outstanding 5.8 yards per carry in the 2024 regular season. He has just six total TDs as well, as Hurts frequently calls his own number by the goal line via the tush push, but Barkley continues to see robust workloads, averaging exactly 20 touches per game this season. Barkley's the top non-QB SUPERSTAR option against a Bears defense that's giving up the fifth-most rushing yards per game.
Chicago has employed a backfield timeshare recently between D'Andre Swift ($26) and Kyle Monangai ($19). The latter looks like the better value, as Monangai's riding a three-game TD streak and had a 12-9 edge in touches in the Bears' previous game. Swift is the shiftier back and has a higher ceiling thanks to his contributions as a pass catcher and superior ability to break off big plays. The Eagles have allowed the fourth-most receiving yards to RBs (457), which plays more into Swift's skill set, but Monangai figures to get first crack at any goal-line opportunities that arise.
WIDE RECEIVER
Both teams feature WR duos that have jostled for the majority of their QB's attention. In Philadelphia's case, the pendulum has clearly swung toward A.J. Brown ($29) since he publicly complained about his lack of involvement. Brown has caught 15 of 21 targets for 159 yards and a touchdown over the past two games, while DeVonta Smith ($27) has only seven catches for 97 scoreless yards on 16 targets over that same span. Smith is still the team's leading receiver overall this season, but Brown's well positioned to build on his momentum against a Bears defense that has allowed the fourth-most TDs to WRs (14), as Smith's managing shoulder and chest injuries, as well as an illness. Philadelphia gets minimal production from its other WRs, the best of whom is Jahan Dotson ($10).
Rome Odunze ($23) has been held to two or fewer catches in four of his last seven games but still leads the Bears across the board in targets (82), catches (42), receiving yards (653) and receiving TDs (six). DJ Moore ($25) is coming off a two-TD performance in Week 12 but had only one receiving score all season prior to that and only one catch on seven targets in the two preceding games. Both are risky options with decent upside against an Eagles defense that's middling against WRs. Chicago also gets secondary options Luther Burden ($11) and Devin Duvernay ($10) involved on occasion. Burden offers nice bang for the buck, as the rookie second-round pick is coming off three consecutive three-catch performances.
TIGHT END
Dallas Goedert ($17) leads the Eagles with seven receiving TDs while no teammate has more than four, but the veteran TE has topped 28 receiving yards only once in the past five games, leaving him as a touchdown-dependent Yahoo DFS fantasy option. Chicago has limited TEs to five TDs this season, though the Bears allow 59 receiving yards per game to the position, which is among the league's 10 most generous marks.
Rookie 10th overall pick Colston Loveland ($16) has seen a significant uptick in receiving opportunities recently, though Cole Kmet ($10) remains involved as well for the Bears. Loveland broke out with 118 yards and two TDs in Week 9, and he has compiled a respectable 144 yards and a TD across three subsequent games. Kmet has been held to exactly one catch in five of his last six games, but he racked up five catches for 45 yards in Week 11. The Eagles are holding TEs to 32 yards per game (second-fewest in the NFL) and have allowed only two TDs to the position, but Loveland's affordable valuation makes the talented rookie a viable Yahoo DFS fantasy option despite the difficult matchup.
DEFENSE
Kickers aren't available for selection in Yahoo DFS contests, but defenses are. The Philadelphia Eagles ($15) have averaged 8.4 fantasy points in their last five games and have recorded multiple sacks in seven of their last eight. Williams has a tendency to hold onto the ball too long, and while his impressive ability to escape sack attempts leads to some highlight-reel plays from the second-year QB, it also creates opportunities for defenses to make big plays when his escape attempts fail. The Chicago Bears ($12) defense relies on turnovers, as the unit leads the league with 16 interceptions but surrenders 26.5 points per game, which is sixth-most in the NFL. Hurts is an expert at avoiding turnovers, with only one interception and two lost fumbles all season, which lowers the ceiling for the Bears defense Friday.
