Best NFL Week 15 PrizePicks Plays - Monday Night Football
Best PrizePicks Picks current as of 1:00 PM ET Monday.
Adam Thielen 1.5 Receptions (MORE)
Thielen made his Steelers debut in Week 14 and played about half the snaps. He drew only one target, but that's to be expected with only a few days to get acclimated.
When he joined Pittsburgh, I thought Thielen would be the perfect fit for Aaron Rodgers, with both veterans understanding where to find space against zone coverage and even man-to-man. Thielen gives Rodgers a natural slot option as opposed to Calvin Austin, who is explosive but not best-suited to play in tight.
Miami's defense has vastly improved over the past five weeks, but they are still beatable out of the slot, and I expect Thielen's snap count to rise. I might even go the ladder route on this one.
Tua Tagovailoa 0.5 Interceptions (MORE)
There isn't much to go on here in terms of statistics, Pittsburgh ranks middle-of-the-pack in terms of interceptions and T.J. Watt will not play Monday night. So why are we going with this play?
Well, Tagovailoa has really struggled in frigid temperatures, and according to RotoWire's NFL Weather Report it will be anything but warm in Pittsburgh. The signal-caller has more more interceptions than touchdowns in games qualified as "cold-weather," and that's enough for me to make a play even though he threw only four interceptions over his last six appearances. I wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers pick off Tagovailoa more than once Monday night.
Kenneth Gainwell 10.5 Fantasy Score (MORE)
While Miami's defense has improved since the beginning of the season, they haven't exactly faced tough opponents. Besides the contest in which they beat up on the Bills, they have faced the Jets, Saints, Commanders and Ravens without Lamar Jackson. There's not a lot of firepower there.
Although the Steelers have not been dominant on the offensive side, they do have a veteran quarterback who can get them in favorable situations to run the ball. I'd like a fully-healthy Jaylen Warren here, but with him listed as questionable -- per RotoWire's NFL Injury Report -- I'm turning to the backup. Some sort of backfield split seems in order, and Gainwell got eight red-zone snaps last week compared to just two for Warren.
