THE SLATE
LDLC ASVEL at Khimki Moscow Region
Status Check: Matthew Strazel (ASV), Devin Booker (KHI), Janis Timma (KHI), Stefan Jovic (KHI)
Best Bets for Success: Wednesday's short slate opens with a game between teams that are not in contention for the postseason but has highest over/under in Round 32. Norris Cole is the most consistent ASVEL player of late with an average of 25.5 DFS points in last five outings and double figures in points column for nine consecutive games. Cole was rested in last domestic game and will face best possible matchup against most leaky defense in the league this season, especially against opposing guards. Guerschon Yabusele was ASVEL's top scorer in the last matchup between this teams, putting up 20 points. He is averaging 21.0 DFS points in last four games, and scored in double digits in each. Alexey Shved is the most expensive play on Wednesday's slate, but his DFS points production backs price tag of $11,900. Shved averaged 41.8 DFS points in last five outings, including two double-doubles. Jordan Mickey is in amazing form lately, with four consecutive games with 20 or more points. Khimki's center averaged 41.1 DFS points in last five games, with 36.3 as his lowest total. At $11,300 he is the second-most expensive pick on the slate. Both Khimki stars will face favorable matchup as ASVEL is fourth-worst in the league in limiting opposing guards and has conceded most points to centers.
DFS Darlings: Antoine Diot played one of his best games this season in last Round, producing 26.3 DFS points In the matchup against Real Madrid. He will face a weaker defense on Wednesday night, so has a good chance to deliver again. Sergey Karasev started six consecutive games for Khimki and his position seems to be secure at the moment. He averaged 17.2 DFS points over the last five and is priced by DraftKings at $5,500.
Olympiacos Piraeus at Valencia Basket
Status Check: Hassan Martin (OLY), Kostas Papanikolaou (OLY), Martin Hermannsson (PAM)
Best Bets for Success: Despite Olympiacos' elimination from the playoff race after last Round's loss to Fenerbahce, Sasha Vezenkov will be expected to continue his stellar performances. Bulgarian ace averages 32.4 DFS points and 29.5 minutes on the court over last five outings. He will also face very suitable matchup against Valencia, one of worst defenses against forwards in the league. Nikola Kalinic is one of the most consistent DFS points providers, scoring over 20 in seven out of his last eight outings. Kalinic spends most time on the court in Valencia's roster with 30.7 minutes per game in last three Rounds. Mike Tobey and Derrick Williams continue to perform admirably in crucial part of regular season. With 24.1 and 21.9 DFS points average in last three games, respectively, they both stepped up when Bojan Dubljevic struggled with a finger injury, and the duo could continue starting for Valencia on Wednesday. After injury scare in Round 30, Sam Van Rossom is back in business. Although he came off the bench in the last Round, he still played 24 minutes and came close to a double-double with nine points and nine assists. Chances are he will be back in the starting lineup, and he should spend plenty of time on the court with Hermannsson still out.
DFS Darlings: Livio Jean-Charles played his best game this year in defeat against Fenerbahce in the last Round. French forward averages 19.5 DFS points over last five outings and is available on DraftKings slate at $6,700. Klemen Prepelic started the last two games for Valencia and averaged 17.5 DFS points. He should continue starting at the shooting guard spot, and you can add him to your team at $7,000.
