THE SLATE
Olympiacos Piraeus at TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz
Status Check: Kostas Papanikolaou (OLY), Georgios Printezis (OLY), Hassan Martin (OLY), Kosta Koufous (OLY)
Best Bets for Success: Olympiacos will arrive in Spain with high hopes for a win after losing six consecutive games. Shaq McKissic took over from Kostas Sloukas in point scoring duties in February, racking up 20 or over points in two out of three outings. He was especially impressive in last game against CSKA Moscow scoring 37 DFS, including four steals. The only other eye catching Olympiacos's player in last weeks was Sasha Vezenkov. Since coming back from knee injury he averaged 28.4 DFS points in two games, spending 34 minutes on court in each. Luca Vildoza will be popular among fantasy players again, and there's good reason for that: Baskonia's point guard averages 29.5 DFS points in last four games, scoring in double figures in every single one, and Olympiacos is second in the league in conceding DFS points against guards. He is available on DraftKings slate at $8,700, his season high. Youssoupha Fall would feature in DFS Darlings section but after his recent very effective performances we have to mention him here. Baskonia's center spend less than 20 minutes on the court in each of last two games, but that didn't stop him from scoring over 30 DFS points against Khimki and Red Star. Fall provided over 20 fantasy points in five out of his six starts this year. Rokas Giedraitis, who checks in at $7,800 on DraftKings, was a regular fantasy points provider in February, with 24.5 DFS points average in three games. Baskonia has switched up its lineups a lot, but on only one occasion has Giedraitis missed out on starting spot.
DFS Darlings: Livio Jean-Charles and Octavius Ellis will likely see extended playing time in shorthanded by injuries Olympiacos' frontcourt. Both has done enough this season to be considered valid options for fantasy games, and are available on DraftKings at $5,400 and $6,600 respectively. Kosta Koufos could make his first appearance for Olympiacos but his situation has to be closely monitored.
Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul at AX Armani Exchange Milan
Status Check: Melih Mahmutoglu (ULK), Alex Perez (ULK), Zach LeDay (MIL), Jeff Brooks (MIL)
Best Bets for Success: Despite a crushing defeat to Efes in Round 26, Nando de Colo delivered another stellar performance with 37.5 DFS points. In February the French guard scored a minimum of 24 points in three consecutive games and was a serious contender for the MVP award. de Colo and Jan Vesely are most regular DFS points providers in Fenerbahce's side. Dyshawn Pierre continues to play a key role for Turkish team. Despite rarely finding place in starting lineup, he averages 26.2 minutes in last five games. Pierre was Fenerbahce's top scorer in reverse matchup with 16 points and for Wednesday slate is priced up at $7,300 by DraftKings. Shavon Shields is in the spotlight again, after his best performance so far this year in the last Round. Milan's forward only once in last five games failed to score in double figures. Since coming back from thigh injury at the end of January he averages 24.6 DFS points per game. Other regular contributors for Milan of late are the experienced Kyle Hines and Sergio Rodriguez. They both most often start games on the bench, but they averaged a quality 26.6 and 24.5 DFS points, respectively, over the last three games.
DFS Darlings: Melih Mahmutoglu and Alex Perez are not first choice guards for Fenerbahce but their absence on Wednesday will likely increase Lorenzo Brown's minutes on the court. He was rather quiet of late, averaging only 13.5 DFS points in last three games but after defeat in Istanbul derby last week, Brown may get more chances to impress. Another veteran in Milan's ranks that is Luigi Datome, who, before joining Italian team, spend five years with Fenerbahce. Datome scored in double figures in his last two out of three outings and is available on DraftKings at just $7,100.
