After whitewashing West Indies in all three formats at their den, India gear up to lock horns with a new look South African side I'm the first T20I of the three-match series at Dharamsala on Sunday. India have rested their main bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal and, hence, that gives the fringe players like Deepak Chahar, Khaleel Ahmed, Rahul Chahar and Navdeep Saini to show what they are capable of. The batting lineup remains pretty much the same.
South Africa, on the other hand, have completely revamped their squad. They will be led by an experienced Quinton de Kock and new players like George Linde and Anrich Nortje look all set to play all the three games. However, few of the familiar faces like David Miller and Kagiso Rabada still remain and the onus will be on them to lead the youngsters by example.

Top Picks:
Wicket-Keeper: Quinton de Kock
The South African stumper has rich experience of playing in Indian conditions. He scored over 500 runs at an average of over 35 during this year's IPL. The true nature of the Dharamsala pitch will suit de Kock's game and he might go on to get a big score as he bats at the top of the order.
Batsman: Rohit Sharma
The Indian opener scored a century against South Africa at this venue four years back. Moroever, his T20I batting average of 37.88 against the Proteas is one of the best and, hence, he would be eager to maintain that.
All-rounder: Krunal Pandya
The Baroda all-rounder has played 14 consecutive T20I games for India since last year and he would be eager to build on to his good tally of 14 wickets and a batting average of 25.5 in this match.
Bowler: Kagiso Rabada
The South African pacer was in phenomenal form during the IPL earlier this year. He had picked up 25 wickets in 14 matches at an excellent average and strike-rate of 14.72 and 11.28 respectively. But he had a disappointing World Cup captain after that and, hence, he would be raring to fire in this series.
Captaincy Options (in order of priority): Rohit Sharma, Krunal Pandya
