Warriors Defeat Lakers, 128-121
The Golden State Warriors defeated the host Los Angeles Lakers. 128-121, at Crypto.com Arena on Saturday.

While there were only four ties and seven lead changes in this game, neither team led by more than 11 points. That was Golden State, outscoring Los Angeles in the second and third quarters, 72-57. They never gave up the lead in the second half. The Warriors shot 53 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range while holding the Lakers to 51 percent from the field and 35 percent from long range. They also out-assisted LA, 38-32, while outscoring them in the paint, 62-54.

The Warriors (35-31) were led by Stephen Curry, collecting 31 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals. Jonathan Kuminga compiled 23 points, two rebounds and four assists. Andrew Wiggins amassed 16 points and six rebounds, while Draymond Green finished with six points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists. Klay Thompson led the bench with 26 points, four rebounds and three assists.

The Lakers (36-32) were led by LeBron James, tallying 40 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. D'Angelo Russell registered 23 points, three rebounds and 11 assists. Rui Hachimura totaled 14 points, four rebounds and two assists, while Austin Reaves had 11 points, three rebounds and three assists. Anthony Davis had to depart after the first quarter because of an eye poke.

Both teams return to action on Monday, with Los Angeles remaining home to play the Atlanta Hawks and Golden State returning home to face the New York Knicks.
