Pacers Overcome Slow Start, Defeat Nets
The Indiana Pacers defeated the Brooklyn Nets, 121-100, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday evening.

The Pacers (38-30) had to work hard to get past the Nets (26-41) in front of 17,009 fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Nets looked good in the early going and jumped to a 30-25 lead in the first quarter. However, Indiana responded with a 34-27 second quarter, turning the five-point deficit into a two-point advantage. The Pacers pulled away for good in the third quarter following a 27-21 score, and the Nets simply didn’t have enough in them to fight back. The Pacers closed things out with a 35-22 score in the final 12 minutes of action. With the win, the Pacers moved to 21-14 at home, while the Nets fell to 10-23 on the road.

Pascal Siakam carried the Pacers on offense with 28 points, but he also added 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Aaron Nesmith had 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Myles Turner finished with 11 points and seven rebounds, while Tyrese Haliburton chipped in with 14 points, seven boards, four assists and two steals. T.J. McConnell had 13 points off the bench.

Cam Thomas led the way for the Nets on offense with 22 points and eight rebounds. Dennis Schroder posted 13 points and five dimes. Mikal Bridges went 1-for-8 from the field and racked up seven points, seven rebounds and four assists. Dorian Finney-Smith posted 12 points and four rebounds. Cameron Johnson chipped in with 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals off the bench.
