Warriors Defeat Wizards, 127-118
The Golden State Warriors defeated the host Washington Wizards, 127-118, at Capital One Arena on Monday.

There were 12 ties and 13 lead changes in this game, with neither team leading by more than 11 points. That was actually the Warriors in the final moments, riding a 34-25 fourth quarter to their win. They finished the game on a 29-12 run across the closing 8:40. Golden State out-rebounded Washington, 43-36, while doubling them up in fastbreak points, 20-10. The Warriors shot 50 percent from the field, 41 percent from three-point range and 91 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors (22-22) were led by Stephen Curry, collecting 41 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Jordan Poole provided 32 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Draymond Green generated 17 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and three steals, while Andrew Wiggins accrued 14 points, three rebounds and four assists.

The Wizards (18-26) were led by Kristaps Porzingis, tallying 32 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Monte Morris amassed 17 points, four rebounds, 10 assists and two steals. Kyle Kuzma compiled 16 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, while Daniel Gafford had 14 points and five boards. Rui Hachimura led the bench with 16 points.

On deck for Washington is a road matchup with the New York Knicks on Wednesday. As for Golden State, they stay on the road to play the Boston Celtics on Thursday for their next outing.
