Grizzlies Throttle Suns, 136-106
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Phoenix Suns, 136-106, at FedEx Forum on Monday evening.

The Grizzlies (30-13) unsurprisingly came into the MLK Day clash as double-digit favorites, given the decimated roster the Suns (21-24) continue to be saddled with. However, Memphis may have been caught napping early, as Phoenix owned a 36-29 lead through one. However, that would turn out to be just the wake-up call the hosts needed, as they had already erased their deficit in the second quarter to take a three-point advantage into halftime and then expanded their edge to 19 points going into the final period to set up the easy victory.

Mikal Bridges paced the Suns with 21 points, adding seven assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block. Deandre Ayton delivered 18 points, five boards and one assist. Dario Saric totaled 12 points, seven boards and five assists. Saben Lee registered 10 points, three assists, two rebounds, one steal and one block.

Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with 29 points, supplementing them with seven assists, two rebounds and one steal. Desmond Bane followed with 28 points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals. Jaren Jackson turned in 18 points, eight boards, one assist, six blocks and two steals. Brandon Clarke registered 13 points, six rebounds and one assist. David Roddy and Tyus Jones posted matching 10-point contributions while recording eight rebounds and eight assists, respectively.

The Suns return home to host the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night, while the Grizzlies remain home and host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.
