Elite Players
Guards
De'Aaron Fox, Spurs
($9,400) at Pelicans
The star point guard enters a favorable matchup against a lackluster Pelicans defense, and while Stephon Castle's return from a nine-game absence due to a hip flexor strain could potentially eat into Fox's production, it also gives the Pelicans another weapon to plan for. Fox hasn't posted fewer than 35.0 DK points since Nov. 12, and he has averaged 25.0 points, 6.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest over his last five outings.
Trey Murphy, Pelicans
($7,800) vs. Spurs
With Zion Williamson (adductor) and Jordan Poole (quadriceps) both missing ample time so far this season, Murphy has been a consistent source of production. The 25-year-old swingman carries a relatively safe floor from a fantasy perspective and should remain the Pelicans' top offensive weapon until they are back at full strength. In three appearances following a two-game absence due to a strained right elbow, he has averaged 25.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.3 steals across 36.7 minutes per game.
Forwards/Centers
Julius Randle, Timberwolves
($8,500) vs. Suns
Anthony Edwards (illness) was a late addition to Minnesota's injury report and was not seen at Monday morning's shootaround, meaning Randle could be asked to step up against the Suns. The veteran forward has struggled with efficiency of late, shooting just 42.6 percent from the field in his last seven appearances, but that has not stopped him from stuffing the stat sheet. He has recorded at least 30.3 DK points in each of those seven games, averaging 19.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 34.6 minutes per contest over that stretch.
Saddiq Bey, Pelicans
($6,900) vs. Spurs
While Herbert Jones (calf) could potentially return from an eight-game absence Monday, Bey should still be a major contributor, and he will likely remain in the starting five with Zion Williamson (adductor) on the shelf. Bey has been impressive of late, averaging 20.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals over his last five outings. He has logged fewer than 33.0 DK points just once during that span.
Devin Vassell, Spurs
($6,200) at Pelicans
Vassell is coming off a 28-point performance during Friday's loss to Cleveland and has reached the 20-point threshold in four of his last six outings. During that span, the 25-year-old forward has averaged 22.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 combined steals-plus-blocks in 31.3 minutes per game. While Stephon Castle's (hip) return could mean fewer shots are available for Vassell, the former may face some restrictions in his first appearance following a nine-game absence.
Expected Chalk
Pascal Siakam, Pacers
($8,800) vs. Kings
Siakam has another favorable matchup Monday after dropping 56.5 DK points his last time out in a win over the Bulls on Friday. The Kings rank 26th in the league in defensive rating (119.2) and could be without Keegan Murray (arm). Meanwhile, Siakam hasn't generated fewer than 33.8 DK points in five straight outings, during which he has averaged 26.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He has also shot 51.0 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from beyond the arc over that stretch.
Mid-Range Money
Naz Reid, Timberwolves
($6,100) vs. Suns
The 26-year-old big man continues to provide a valuable spark off the bench for Minnesota and could be asked to do more on the offensive end if Anthony Edwards (illness) is ultimately ruled out. Reid has registered 28.5-plus DK points in five consecutive contests, during which he has averaged 16.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 combined steals-plus-blocks in 30.2 minutes per game.
Jay Huff, Pacers
($5,600) vs. Kings
Huff has been a regular in the starting lineup recently and should continue to see minutes around the mid-20s on Monday. The big man has tallied at least 20.8 DK points in all but one of his last nine appearances, during which he has averaged 11.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.3 blocks and 2.1 assists in 24.2 minutes per game. He has recorded shooting splits of 50.0/38.8/76.9 over that stretch.
Value Picks
Maxime Raynaud, Kings
($5,000) at Pacers
The rookie second-rounder got the starting nod for the first time this season during Saturday's win over Miami, recording his first career double-double. Raynaud has logged at least 22 minutes and 22.0 DK points in four consecutive contests during which he has averaged 16.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks in 25.5 minutes per game.
Jamaree Bouyea, Suns
($3,900) at Timberwolves
The Suns are in jeopardy of being without all three of their top offensive options if Dillon Brooks (ankle) is ruled out, but either way, Bouyea should continue seeing meaningful minutes. The two-way player has logged double-digit minutes in five straight outings and has posted 21.8-plus DK points in back-to-back games.
Ethan Thompson, Pacers
($3,500) vs. Kings
While Thompson totaled just 10 minutes over his first two appearances with Indiana after joining the team on a two-way pact Nov. 30, he logged 25.5 DK points across 34 minutes in Friday's win over Chicago. The 26-year-old guard started the second half and was extremely efficient while contributing across the board. It's a riskier play due to his extremely low floor, but Thompson could be in line for increased minutes yet again with Aaron Nesmith (knee) and Ben Sheppard (calf) sidelined.
