This article is part of our FantasyAces NBA series.
Monday's slate of games on FantasyAces presents six solid contests where value can be had, and some top-tier players can round out your lineups. But as all daily fantasy players know, you need discounted value plays in order to land the top performers each night.
Some of the better defensive teams in the NBA play on Monday's slate, so choosing your players wisely will mean more tonight than usual. Utah Jazz, Indiana, Washington, Golden State and Memphis are all less-than-ideal matchups.
In addition, Jimmy Butler (elbow) could return Monday, which changes the dynamic of the Bulls outlook in terms of daily fantasy value. Be sure to keep tabs on that situation among others.
Remember, keep an eye on the inactives throughout the day to stay up to date with the latest lineup changes in the NBA.
Without further ado, your value plays on FantasyAces for Monday's games.
Guard
Bojan Bogdanovic, BKN, $3,600
Bogdanovic is still priced as one of the cheaper options on FantasyAces, as his ownership has not been high enough to raise his price significantly. Expect that to change soon. Bogdanovic has scored a total of 57.5 fantasy points in the last two games, and he has averaged close to 32 minutes (in regulation) per game in the those two outings.
In the last four games, Bogdanovic is shooting nearly 64 percent (30-of-47) from the field and his minutes have escalated in response. Bogdanovic and the Nets face the Celtics on Monday, who have allowed opponents to shoot 45 percent from the floor and allow the seventh-most points in the NBA.
Bogdanovic is listed as a shooting guard, but with the Nets playing Deron Williams and Jarrett Jack together, he has played either small or power forward often, giving him the benefit as a swing player, likely eluding to his high shooting percentage in the last four games. Be sure to take advantage of Bogdanovic's price before it rises on FantasyAces.
Corey Brewer, HOU $4,400
Brewer has been a value machine of late, reaching or exceeding value in six of his last seven games. With his price at $4,400, value can be reached at 26.4 fantasy points. The Rockets may be without Terrence Jones, Josh Smith, Patrick Beverley, Trevor Ariza, and Dwight Howard on Monday, which would give Brewer more than the 27 minutes per game he has seen in the last two weeks.
Brewer has taken nine or more shots in all but one game so far this month, and with his surprising production in secondary categories (five rebounds and two steals per 36 minutes in Houston this season), he makes for a nice option in all formats in FantasyAces.
Brewer and the Rockets face the Pacers on Monday, which is an odd name for the Indiana basketball team, as they do just the opposite and play great defense (allowing just 97 points per game this season). Even so, Brewer will likely see close to 30 minutes given the Rockets injuries, which gives him a high chance to reach value as he averages 0.8 fantasy points per minute.
