Best MLB Bets Today for ALCS Game 3: Toronto Blue Jays vs Seattle Mariners
Shane Bieber under 4.5 strikeouts, +100 @ BetMGM
Bieber didn't fare well in his previous postseason start after lasting only 2.2 innings in Game 3 of the ALDS against the Yankees, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out two. Even though the Blue Jays need him to be at his best in this matchup Toronto just doesn't have the luxury or the time to give Bieber a long leash in this game. As soon as he shows signs of struggling, Bieber will probably make way to the bullpen.
There's also a durability factor, as Bieber only made seven starts in the regular season after missing most of the campaign following rehab from Tommy John surgery, increasing the chances of him having a short leash. All things considered, given the way the Mariners have seen the ball in the ALCS and the way Bieber pitched the last time out, it wouldn't be odd to see him fall below his proposed strikeout line for a second consecutive start. He's recorded four or fewer strikeouts in four of his last five appearances dating back to the regular season.

George Kirby over 4.5 strikeouts, -114 @ BetRivers
Kirby didn't factor into the decision in Game 5 of the ALDS versus Detroit in his previous start, allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out six batters over five-plus innings. He also struck out eight in Game 1 of the same series against the Tigers while tossing five innings, so he has shown that he doesn't need to go deep into games to record high strikeout totals.
It wouldn't be surprising if Kirby goes above this projected line once again. He ended the regular season on a high note as well, recording double-digit punchouts in two of his final three starts. And now he's had at least five Ks in his last five appearances dating back to Sept. 14. The Blue Jays have only struck out nine times combined in the first two games of the series, but with the series shifting back to Seattle for Game 3, Kirby has a good chance to keep his strikeout totals over the 4.5 mark. He's done it in five of his last seven starts at home.

Julio Rodriguez over 1.5 total bases, +120 @ Ceasars Sportsbook
Rodriguez had three hits in Game 1 of the ALDS against the Tigers, but he's been struggling at the plate since then, going hitless in three games and recording just three total hits over his subsequent six games. However, he went yard in Game 2 of the ALCS against Toronto, and that homer might be what he needed to turn things around.
A productive Rodriguez, who was one of seven players to record 30 homers and 30 stolen bases in the regular season, would provide a huge boost to Seattle's lineup. Even though he's hitting a mere .207 so far in the playoffs, we believe he'll turn things around in Game 3 and record multiple bases just for the third time in the current postseason run.
