Monday's MLB Best Bets
Atlanta Braves
vs. Miami Marlins
Ronald Acuna over 1.5 total bases, (+120 @ bet365 Sportsbook)
Acuna has been trending in the right direction of late, hitting safely in all but one of his previous eight contests. He is slashing .323/.400/.452 with an .852 OPS in that stretch. With multiple hits in two of his last three games, and having knocked his most recent homer in the weekend series against the Mets, Acuna could be in line to continue wreaking havoc against the Marlins.
Acuna has been an absolute terror at the dish of late, and if adding walks into the equation, we can see that the star outfielder has reached base safely in 12 straight contests, hitting .279 with a .404 on-base percentage (OBP) and an .846 OPS over that stretch. The Marlins will have RHP Edward Cabrera (6-7, 3.52 ERA) on the mound, but Cabrera is coming off a rocky outing against the St. Louis Cardinals on Aug. 19. He allowed six runs (four earned) on 11 hits and a walk across 4.1 innings. The Dominican right-hander has given up 11 runs (nine earned) over his last 9.2 frames of work across his last two appearances.

Arizona Diamondbacks
vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Brandon Woodruff over 6.5 strikeouts, (+120 @ bet365 Sportsbook)
Woodruff has been one of the best pitchers for the Brewers, who have the best record in MLB, since making his season debut on July 6 against the Marlins. The veteran owns a 4-1 record with strong peripherals: a 2.47 ERA, a 0.85 WHIP and an impressive 11.3 K/9. Even though the long ball has hurt him, as he gives 1.4 homers per nine frames, Woodruff has managed to deliver solid outings for one of the top World Series contenders in the NL.
Woodruff has struck out at least six in all but two of his eight appearances, and with a solid 5:1 K:BB ratio, he could be in line to hover around that mark against a Diamondbacks lineup that ranks seventh in the NL in strikeouts with 8.0 per game.

Detroit Tigers
vs. Athletics
Riley Greene over 1.5 total bases, (+115 @ bet365 Sportsbook)
Greene has gone yard in two of his last three games, and he has launched five homers over his last 14 games. As if that wasn't enough, Greene is now up to 31 home runs and 95 RBI for the season, both of which lead the team, while they're among the Top 10 in the majors. The left-hander slugger will have the benefit of facing RHP J.T. Ginn, who owns a 6.75 ERA at home this season while allowing a .633 slugging percentage to left-handed hitters at Sutter Health Park. While Greene might not go yard again, he certainly has a good spot to continue his power surge. He owns a .617 slugging percentage since that aforementioned 14-game stretch.
