Pitcher
Jose Fernandez, MIA vs. KC ($10,800): Jose at home you say? Absolutely. On the season, Fernandez's home ERA sits at a sterling 2.07 (2.33 xFIP) with a K-rate of 36.6 percent. That'll do. His opponent, the Kansas City Royals, have had the worst offense in the MLB over the past 30 days with a 75 wRC+. Some may have concerns after only two of Fernandez's last four outings have resulted in quality starts, but the underlying stats are all there to indicate it may be nothing but a little blip in his form.
Catcher
Wilson Ramos, WAS vs. BAL ($3,400): Ramos comes into this matchup against southpaw Wade Miley with a wRC+ of 187 at home against lefties on the season behind a .382 ISO. Miley also has a mediocre xFIP of 4.50 against righties on the season, allowing 1.64 HR/9.
First Base
Justin Morneau, CHW vs. PHI ($2,700): Morneau has provided a much-needed jolt to the White Sox lineup. The lefty has a 120 wRC+ against right-handed pitching since joining the team in July. Jerad Eickhoff travels to the South Side of Chicago with a 4.93 xFIP and 1.87 HR/9 allowed on the road against left-handed hitters while his net ERA away from home sits at 4.70.
Second Base
Brian Dozier, MIN vs. DET ($3,900): Dozier has hit lefties well throughout his career but has reached a new level as his split this season shows a 185 wRC+ complimented by a powerful .379 ISO. Opposing pitcher Matt Boyd's xFIP against right-handed bats sits at 4.90 with a 1.47 HR/9 allowed.
Third Base
Jorge Polanco, MIN vs. DET ($2,700): Polanco enters a prime matchup against the left-handed Boyd, as the Twins are favored in what Vegas currently has pegged as a 9.5 over/under. On the season, Polanco at home has a 135 wRC+ against lefties.
Shortstop
Erick Aybar, DET at MIN ($2,700): Detroit's new middle infielder, formerly with the Braves, gets to show his solid reverse splits against right-hander Tyler Duffey, who also showcases reverse splits permitting a 4.62 xFIP and .397 wOBA against righties. Aybar has hit in the two-spot in the order in every Tigers game against right-handed pitching since joining the team and has sported a 117 wRC+ with Detroit.
Outfield
Robbie Grossman, MIN vs. DET ($3,000): Grossman, like Polanco, is a switch-hitting Twin facing Boyd. However, Grossman has been even more impressive with his splits against lefties and at home against them he has a massive 191 wRC+.
Miguel Sano, MIN vs. DET ($3,100): Sano is in the middle of his best month at the plate this season. Thus far in August, Sano has a 129 wRC+ and .333 ISO. His numbers against lefties are also appetizing as his wRC+ sits at 143 (38 points higher than the split against righties).
J.D. Martinez, DET at MIN ($3,800): Martinez has raked at the plate since returning from the DL earlier this month with a 240 wRC+ and .342 ISO. He's also been strong against righties on the season sporting a 153 wRC+. In addition to his poor numbers against righties, Duffey has also struggled mightily at home where his ERA sits at 6.67.
