We've got a light night in MLB on Thursday. There are only four games starting in the 7:00 p.m. EDT hour. Looking for some help with your DFS options? I hope to have you covered right here, right now!
PITCHING
Ranger Suarez, PHI vs. COL ($8,600): Suarez has been quite impressive this season both in and out of the rotation. On the year he has a 1.38 ERA and over his last five starts he has a 2.08 ERA. The Rockies have scored a lot of runs, but you have to account for the fact they are on the road in this game. Colorado has been awful away from home, posting an 18-50 record.
Carlos Hernandez, KC at BAL ($7,600): Like Suarez, Hernandez has been moved out of the bullpen and into the rotation. Also like Hernandez, he's excelled in his new role. Over his last seven starts Hernandez has a 1.91 ERA. The Orioles have a bottom-six offense in terms of runs scored, but they also have the worst run differential in MLB.
TOP TARGET
Bryce Harper, PHI vs. COL ($3,900): At home against a right-handed pitcher? Harper is living the dream Thursday. He has an 1.102 OPS against righties and a 1.052 OPS in his home ballpark. You might think Antonio Senzatela wouldn't mind being away from Coors Field, but since 2019 he has a 5.63 ERA on the road.
VALUE BAT
Anthony Rizzo, NYY vs. TOR ($3,600): We have a matchup between two players who were dealt this season here. Rizzo has been solid for the Yankees, posting a .266/.349/.436 slash line in pinstripes. Jose Berrios, meanwhile, has been a little iffy for the Blue Jays, as he has a 3.79 ERA. Overall he has a 3.84 ERA in away games this season. The lefty Rizzo could take advantage of this matchup with Berrios on Thursday.
STACK TO CONSIDER
Atlanta vs. Erick Fedde: Ozzie Albies ($4,200), Freddie Freeman ($3,900), Adam Duvall ($3,500)
Fedde has a career 5.16 ERA, and this year his ERA is 5.27. He's also had an issue with home runs, as he's given up 1.58 homers per nine innings in his career. Albies prefers facing lefties, but he can still hit righties. Plus, he's slugged .497 and has hit 27 home runs and stolen 17 bases. Freeman's numbers are a bit down from last season, but he's still slashed .292/.388/.498 with 28 home runs. Also, since 2019 he has an 1.017 OPS against righties. Duvall is an all-or-nothing hitter, but he has a ton of power. He's slugged .514 over the last three seasons and has 33 home runs this year.
