Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Ferguson’s totals in catches and receiving yards increased in each of his four years at Oregon, culminating with 43 receptions for 591 yards in 2024 before the Rams drafted him with the 46th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-5, 247-pound TE had only three touchdown catches in his senior season, but he racked up 11 TDs over the previous two years. Ferguson’s 4.63-second 40-yard dash was decent for his size, and the former high school basketball player is a good athlete, though he’ll need to solidify his blocking skills and will likely be eased in as a depth option behind starter Tyler Higbee. The rookie second-round pick will likely begin his career jostling with Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen for the top backup role. Read Past Outlooks
Third straight game without a catch
Ferguson failed to secure either of his two targets during Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Colby Parkinson has taken on the role of top tight end for the Rams in the absence of Tyler Higbee (ankle), and he again led the position group in all statistical categories, while Ferguson and Davis Allen (one target) were held without a catch. Until Ferguson shows consistent usage and more reliable targeting from Matthew Stafford, the second-round rookie remains difficult to trust in fantasy lineups with a divisional showdown in Arizona up next on the docket in Week 14.

Could step up as Higbee goes on IR
Ferguson could take on a larger role in the Rams' passing game moving forward, as Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports that Tyler Higbee was placed on injured reserve Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
Ferguson has been brought along slowly, but the rookie second-round pick still ranks second among Rams tight ends with 138 receiving yards, trailing Higbee's 190 and ahead of Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen, who have 123 and 104 receiving yards, respectively. Higbee will be sidelined for at least four weeks.
