MVP
Manny Machado, LAD ($9,000): Machado has hit safely in all four World Series games and in five straight overall. He's got great familiarity with David Price thanks to his time with the Orioles, going 12-for-41 (.293) with five homers and a double.
Mookie Betts, BOS ($9,000): Betts has been the safer/more consistent option for the Sox over J.D. Martinez, so he's the less likely choice to lose this contest for you as a chalky MVP. Also, Betts torched lefties during the regular season for an obscene .488 wOBA, 212 wRC+ and .368 ISO.
INFIELD
Steve Pearce, BOS ($6,000): He's increased in price by $1,000 from Game 4, but Pearce figures to remain a staple in many lineups here. He's homered in two of his last six appearances and carries a .429 wOBA, 171 wRC+ and .283 ISO against lefties.
Brock Holt, BOS ($4,000):Ian Kinsler ($4,000) seems far more likely to start in a left vs right matchup, but Holt has better splits even in a same-handed matchup and has been far more productive in the postseason, averaging 16.8 points in two World Series appearances and having failed to score just once in his playoff starts. At the same price, these two are easily interchangeable though Kinsler comes with far less potential.
David Freese, LAD ($4,000): Freese started again in Game 4 and got two at bats before the lefty starter was pulled. David Price's prior workload may not allow Freese much more than that on Sunday, but a .554 wOBA and .321 ISO suggest Freese doesn't need many chances to produce.
OUTFIELD
J.D. Martinez, BOS ($9,000): This selection is obvious, but one that has to be included on sheer necessity. With a lefty on the mound for both teams, the Red Sox third outfielder isn't assured to be Andrew Benintendi, and it's anyone's guess as to what the Dodgers will do with their lineup. We know Martinez will be in the lineup and we know he possesses great upside after posting a .406 wOBA and .244 ISO against lefties. A Joes and Schmoes lineup with Machado, Betts and Martinez still allows you $4,000 for two guys at the back end of Sunday's lineups.
Yasiel Puig, LAD ($7,000): You're paying for stability here, as Puig has started all four World Series games while Dave Roberts has shuffled his other outfielders based on matchups. He's hit safely in three straight and has gone long in two of his last five, including Saturday, having been far better and more consistent than the .270 wOBA against lefties he put up in the regular season.
Matt Kemp, LAD ($5,500): There's little reason to expect Kemp to start, but maybe the Dodgers want to value offense Sunday instead of defense in an effort to force this series back to Boston. Kemp posted a stable .350 wOBA against lefties in the regular season, drove in a run in both starts at Fenway, and is 4-for-14 (.285) when starting in the playoffs.
