FORWARDS
Mohamed Salah, LIV at BRN (£28): There is likely to be plenty of rotation Wednesday as teams try to navigate their way through the beginning of the congested holiday schedule, but Salah's spot seems pretty good, with Liverpool potentially missing Sadio Mane (£24, midfielder) because of a foot injury. Salah hasn't been quite as dominant as he was at times last season, but he's still Liverpool's best attacker, leading them in goals, assists, shots, shots on goal and chances created. His matchup Wednesday also doesn't get much better, as Burnley have conceded the most shots, most shots on goal, most chances, second-most goals and second-most assists among teams on the slate. Liverpool may also provide us with a discounted forward to start in place of Mane, opening up the possibility we get some really cheap exposure to their attack in the form of Daniel Sturridge (£15) or even Divock Origi (£11), who scored the Merseyside derby-winning goal this past weekend.
Harry Kane, TOT v. SOU (£28): With all the potential values opening up because of lineup rotation, pairing Salah and Kane could be a popular strategy if both start. Kane is in a very solid run of form, taking at least three shots in six consecutive matches, accounting for 30 over that span, including 18 on goal, while he and Salah have the best anytime goal scorer odds on the slate. Tottenham are the biggest home favorite with the highest implied goal total, so there should be little hesitation on using Kane if he starts.
Ademola Lookman, EVE v. NEW (£10): Everton are the third-biggest favorites on the slate and manager Marco Silva has already indicated he'll rotate the side due to the busy schedule, which could give Lookman his first start of the season after his impressive showing in last weekend's match against Liverpool. Lookman was a relatively consistent player while on loan with RB Leipzig last season, averaging 2.03 shots, including 0.94 on goal, and 2.19 fouls drawn per 90 minutes, and while his shots haven't been as consistent last season, he is averaging more than three fouls per 90 this season (the sample size is comically small at 174 minutes). Either way, he's more of a play on the Everton attack against Newcastle, a side that has committed the second-most fouls among teams on the slate, as well as the third-most shots. Consider Lookman as Richarlison (£21) light, which seems okay at less than half the price.
MIDFIELDERS
Gylfi Sigurdsson, EVE v. NEW (£20): There are a number of excellent midfielders to choose from Wednesday, but Sigurdsson gets to face the one that has allowed the third-most shots, most crosses, most accurate crosses and second-most corners, all of which fit into his wheelhouse. He's also been a much more consistent shot-taker, finishing with at least three in six of his last eight games, putting at least one on goal in seven. Oh, and he scored five goals and picked up an assist on 19 chances created in that span too. You could certainly pay up for players like Eden Hazard (£24) or Christian Eriksen (£23), but the former has a somewhat tough matchup away to Wolves while the latter is likely to continue playing deeper due to some injury issues, not to mention he could lose set pieces to the returning-from-injury Kieran Trippier (£17, defender).
Dele Alli, TOT v. SOU (£22): Eriksen is pretty much always in consideration, even if he's playing a bit deeper these days, but Alli has been quite active of late, with one goal on 12 shots, including five on goal, and six chances created in four matches before last weekend's derby against Arsenal, in which he didn't take a shot but still had two interceptions and four fouls drawn. Alli is more of a differential on this slate because there are plenty of options to choose from, but he's facing a Southampton side that is now without a regular manager following this week's sacking of Mark Hughes, and they come in having allowing the third-most goals, second-most assists and third-most shots on goal among teams on the slate. Alli is probably not well suited for cash games, but he's got plenty of GPP upside in a match Spurs should control comfortably.
Lucas Torreira, ARS at MUN (£12 ): The matchup away to Manchester United isn't the easiest, but it's tough to ignore Torreira given his recent play and low price. He scored his first goal of the season in last weekend's North London derby, a match that also represented his third consecutive match with multiple shots. However, his style of play, including his defensive work, give him a fairly consistent floor with his shots, as he won two tackles in three of his last four while drawing multiple fouls in seven of his last nine league starts. Meanwhile, only five clubs on Wednesday's slate have allowed more shots than Manchester United, a side that's also committed the most fouls and had the fifth-most tackles won against them. Torreira's floor makes him fairly safe, something that can kind of be said about United midfielder Jesse Lingard (£10), who had five shots, including two on goal, won three tackles and drew five fouls in his last two starts, and while he's pretty goal dependent to really pay off, a minimum salary has to draw some attention.
DEFENDERS
Lucas Digne, EVE v. NEW (£16): Digne's high share of Everton's set pieces always gives him a solid floor, as he's had at least three accurate crosses in four of his last six games, a span that also saw him win multiple tackles four times in addition to posting three clean sheets. Everton come into Wednesday's match with the second-best clean sheet odds, and the Newcastle attack isn't strong enough where Digne will be pinned back all game, potentially allowing him to create multiple chances for the seventh match in a row.
Alberto Moreno, LIV at BRN (£13): With Andrew Robertson (£18) potentially sitting because of dead leg, we could get some pretty cheap exposure to the Liverpool back line in the form of Moreno, who also has no hesitation moving up in the attack as often as possible. In fact, it's his desire to move up that probably has Robertson starting over him, as he sometimes forgets about his defensive duties. Thankfully, they are unlikely to be needed against the weak Burnley attack.
Calum Chambers, FUL v. LEI (£12): Starting as a holding midfielder instead of a center-back, Chambers scored an impressive 12.70 fantasy points in a 2-0 loss to Chelsea last weekend, putting all three of his shots on target while winning three fouls and intercepting three passes. Admittedly, it wasn't a performance we can expect regularly, but new manager Claudio Ranieri said he was impressed with Chambers' ability in midfield and will likely look to keep him there, giving him added upside in a match against a Leicester side that may be without starting striker, and leading goal scorer, Jamie Vardy. Fulham still don't have a clean sheet this season, and they are actually home underdogs Wednesday, but they have the benefit of being led by a manager who was responsible for Leicester's Premier League title only a few seasons ago.
GOALKEEPER
Alisson, LIV at BRN (£18): Paying up for Alisson will likely come down to how many viable value plays turn up once lineups are announced, but there's every reason to spend the money given Liverpool's high win and clean sheet odds. There are plenty of low-scoring teams on the slate, and even though Burnley are at home, no side playing Wednesday has conceded fewer goals than Liverpool, with the only downside being that Alisson likely won't have to make a plethora of saves.
