Goalkeeper to Target in Gameweek 10
Fulham are ranked second only to Arsenal for clean sheet odds this week, which makes their defence worth investing in. With Joachim Andersen sidelined, Bernd Leno becomes the safest route into their backline. A home fixture against Wolves provides good potential for save points and a clean sheet.
Defenders for your Free Hit Team
Arsenal's defensive numbers remain among the best in the league. Gabriel is a must-have with his security of starts and goal threat from set pieces.
Doubling up on Arsenal's defence makes perfect sense, and Jurrien Timber, who trails only Daniel Munoz for expected goal involvement (xGi) among defenders, looks like a strong complementary pick.
Munoz has been excellent this season and ranks top among defenders for xGi. His attacking output combined with a home fixture against Brentford makes him one of the week's standout picks.
Dan Burn rounds off the backline nicely. Newcastle rank among the top three teams for fewest expected goals conceded this season, while West Ham sit in the bottom three for xG created. That contrast sets the stage for defensive returns, but Burn's appeal doesn't end there. His aerial presence on attacking set pieces makes him a real threat against a West Ham side that has conceded more goals from dead-ball situations than any other team.
Midfield Picks for Gameweek 10
Having at least one Manchester United attacker for a fixture against Nottingham Forest, who are ranked in the bottom three for expected goals conceded and yet to keep a clean sheet this season, feels sensible.
Bruno Fernandes remains marginally the better pick over Bryan Mbeumo in my opinion. His expected goal involvement is slightly higher due to penalties, and he also tends to perform better for bonus points and defensive contributions, giving him multiple routes to returns.
No team has conceded more expected goals than Burnley this season, so investing in Arsenal's attack is logical. Bukayo Saka is Arsenal's probable penalty taker and stands out as the key asset to roster.
Anthony Gordon is still likely to be Newcastle's PK taker over Nick Woltemade and faces a leaky West Ham defence ranked 19th for xG conceded.
Ismaila Sarr adds explosive potential at home to Brentford, sitting top among midfielders for non-penalty xG this season.
Forwards and Captain Options
Up front, Erling Haaland is the obvious captain and remains too good to overlook.
Meanwhile, Jean-Philippe Mateta continues to post elite underlying numbers. Palace top the league for non-penalty xG, and Mateta is only behind Haaland for non-penalty xGi.
