David De Gea, MUN v. CHE: Rarely will you have the opportunity to grab De Gea at less than $5,000 on DraftKings. In a two-game slate that features four of the top eight sides in the league, choosing a goalkeeper from one of those teams can be a difficult task. As De Gea showed in Monday's northwest derby with Liverpool, he still possesses the ability to make a world class save, as he denied Philippe Coutinho's long-range curler. Both Thibaut Courtois and Claudio Bravo are more expensive options on DraftKings, but they are by no means safer.
DEFENDER
Cuco Martina, SOT at MCI: Another week, another injury to one of Southampton's outside-backs. Last week I wrote about injuries to Cedric Soares and Ryan Bertrand that allowed Matt Targett to gain the starting role against Burnley. Unfortunately, Targett was forced off in the 14th minute because of an injury of his own. Martina remains healthy and is expected to fill-in once again after finishing with eight crosses and four interceptions in 90 minutes. Antonio Valencia, MUN v. CHE: United are set to play their third match in seven days after playing Liverpool on Monday, Fenerbahce on Thursday and now Chelsea. Valencia was rested for the Europa League match, which means he should be relatively fresh compared to some of his teammates. He comes as the second-most expensive defender on DraftKings, though the prices are friendly as you'll see in the midfield and forward sections.
MIDFIELDER
Victor Moses, CHE at MUN: Since signing for Chelsea in August 2012, Moses has been loaned out to three different clubs, never really showing the immense talent that many thought he possessed. Back in August, fantasy players were targeting the likes of Pedro, Willian, Oscar and Eden Hazard. Now, we're eight matches into the season and Moses has earned back-to-back starts for Antonio Conte's side. He's coming off a one-goal, four-cross performance that netted him 22 fantasy points on DraftKings, and he appears poised to gain another start after that fine display. Although this slate has plenty of options to get bonafide stars, Moses' smaller price allows room for studs like Kevin De Bruyne and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Dusan Tadic, SOT at MCI: For the second consecutive week, Southampton will play in the shortened Sundy slate. This gives daily fantasy players another opportunity to get the Serbian international back in their lineup. If you put Tadic in your lineup last week, you were rewarded with seven shots (four on goal) and a whopping 12 crosses. The only thing missing from this virtuoso display was a goal, which hasn't always been his calling card. Tadic will continue to be Southampton's playmaker, while providing service to the likes of Charlie Austin and Nathan Redmond.
Kevin De Bruyne, MCI v. SOT: On paper, City have arguably the scariest attack in the Premiership, led by De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero. De Bruyne is an excellent playmaker, and his early recovery from a hamstring injury has allowed manager Pep Guardiola to slot him straight back into the starting XI. After playing last weekend, De Bruyne is expected to return to the form that allowed him to score two goals and provide four assists in seven league appearances. He comes as the second-most expensive player on DraftKings thanks in part to the most favorable matchup on the slate.
FORWARD
Sergio Aguero, MCI v. SOT: Twenty-eight percent of Manchester City's goals this season have come from Aguero even though he's only appeared in six of their eight matches. It is unclear who will be taking penalty kicks for City because of Aguero and De Bruyne's misses last week against Everton, but regardless of who is taking them, Aguero is City's most dangerous player and his goal-scoring record speaks for itself.
Charlie Austin, SOT at MCI: Austin has scored at least 17 fantasy points on DraftKings in four of his last five starts, which makes it easy to include him. He comes in as the ninth-most expensive forward, and given his upside, he makes for a tremendous value.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, MUN at CHE: After starting the season with four goals in four games, Ibrahimovic hasn't scored in his last five league matches. In what is expected to be an organized, defensive effort from both teams, Ibrahimovic could be the difference maker. During their visit to Anfield, United's attack tended to be very direct, with long balls or crosses toward Ibrahimovic. His playing style fits perfectly into this type of match because of his hold-up play and ability in the air. If United are able to find the back of the net, Ibrahimovic will likely be involved.
