MATCHES (EST)

Tuesday, 2:45 p.m: Juventus v. Tottenham
Tuesday, 2:45 p.m: Basel v. Manchester City

FORWARDS

Sergio Aguero, MCI at BSL ($13,000): Did you happen to see what Aguero did Saturday? This man cannot be stopped, and a quick peek at his complete game log shows that he has scored 13 goals in the last 10 competitions for Manchester City. His supporting cast is as great as it's ever been, so it only makes sense that a world-class striker of his level is having one of the best years of his career.

Dimitri Oberlin, BSL v. MCI ($7,500): It is hard to find safe plays at the forward position after Aguero. Both Gonzalo Higuain and Harry Kane are in tough spots against top level center-backs, so goals down the middle may be very hard to come by. The City-Basel contest should be the more open of the two games, so it would be wise to sneak a Basel player into your lineup, especially because they are home. Oberlin is not necessarily a top option on the slate, but a player who can fill the second forward spot due to the lack of safe options.

MIDFIELDERS

Kevin De Bruyne, MCI at BSL ($11,500): City have been on fire for more than a few months, and they have become one of the favorites to win this year's tournament. The attack is led by De Bruyne, who is responsible for taking all set pieces with David Silva unlikely to start after being out with injury. He plays a little deeper in the midfield than a traditional no. 10, yet his production in the final third is like that of an all-out attacking player. His position as a central midfielder is a bonus for the FanDuel scoring format, which awards points for defensive stats.

Miralem Pjanic, JUV v. TOT ($9,000): With Paulo Dybala (thigh) out, Pjanic becomes Juventus' primary playmaker. He will take all set pieces and will likely need to create the goals for Juventus on Tuesday. He played as more of a holding midfielder last season, but has now been moved up into the no. 10. His price is modest for being the talisman for one of the two home teams on the slate, so try to fit him into your midfield.

Douglas Costa, JUV v. TOT ($7,000): Costa has been an inconsistent starter since joining Juventus, but he will likely start Tuesday. He subbed on in the last league match Friday against Fiorentina, so he is rested, but he must beat out Federico Bernardeschi ($8,000, forward) for the right wing spot in the lineup. If Costa starts, he becomes one of the top value plays, as his high activity rate is ideal for fantasy owners.

DEFENDERS

Alex Sandro, JUV v. TOT ($6,000): Sandro is a beast on the defensive end, and he is also heavily involved in the attack. He likely won't line up as a wing-back in this one like he did so much last year, but he should have enough freedom to get up the left side on many occasions. He could be marking Christian Eriksen for much of the game, which will require him to stay back when Tottenham have possession, but Eriksen doesn't have the pace and strength to keep up with Sandro going the other way. Juventus will look to win this match by a goal or two in order to set themselves up for success in the second leg, which will require Juventus' full backs to join in on the action.

Serge Aurier, TOT at JUV ($5,000): Aurier is not guaranteed to get the start, but if he does, he makes for a great bargain. His counterpart, Kieran Trippier ($6,500), is the most expensive defender on the slate, and the discrepancy of price between these two players is greater than it should be. Trippier crosses the ball a bit more, but Aurier has the pace and strength that allows him to get into dangerous positions in the attacking third. If Trippier starts, then he likely will not be worth it, but if Aurier does, he becomes one of the top value plays at the defender position.

Stephan Lichtsteiner, JUV v. TOT ($4,500): The departure of Dani Alves after last season has left the right-back position to Lichtsteiner. He was the everyday starter before Alves arrived, so he is comfortable in the lineup. Lichtsteiner is not the primary attacking full back on his team, but he is a stable defender who can reach value at such a modest price.

GOALKEEPERS

Gianluigi Buffon, JUV v. TOT ($5,500): Buffon is known as one of the best players in the history of the game to never win the Champions League, and it seems that he is postponing his retirement until he wins one. That being said, Buffon is facing a potent Tottenham attack that is led by striker Harry Kane, who should force Buffon to make a save or two throughout the match. Juventus conceded just one goal in three games at home during the group stage, and its defense has been ranked among the best in the world for most of Buffon's career. Thus, there is a good chance that Buffon makes a handful of saves without allowing one to go in the net.

Editor's note: an earlier version of this article had Miralem Pjanic's salary at $8,000 instead of $9,000. It has since been corrected.
