PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS
GOALKEEPER
Eldin Jakupovic, HUL at SOU ($6,900): Southampton are the only team on Saturday's slate that force at least three saves per match, but only two teams average fewer goals scored per match at home. Meanwhile, the Hull defense has hardly been dominant (if even good) lately, but FanDuel requires save upside and we get that with Jakupovic.
DEFENDER
Matthew Lowton, BUR at CRY ($6,100): All of the Burnley defenders are in play against a Palace side that has forced the second-most clearances, fourth-most blocked shots and most tackles won against them this season. Ben Mee ($6,800) has been the best fantasy producer of late, but he could miss out with an injury, which could open up a starting spot for James Tarkowski ($5,000). However, Lowton has been the most consistent of the bunch, scoring at least 19 fantasy points in four of his last five games.
Harry Maguire, HUL at SOU ($6,700): Maguire hasn't been quite as prolific with the fantasy points, but he could improve Saturday against a Southampton attack that has had the most shots blocked per game while having the second-most interceptions against them among teams on the slate. Andrea Ranocchia ($6,700) is also an option, though his two goals and one assist is his last five games skew his game logs up a bit.
MIDFIELDER
Dusan Tadic, SOU v. HUL ($6,900): Before Tuesday's loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Tadic has created at least three chances in four consecutive matches. He also took 11 shots over that span, though none were on goal, but it's at least promising that he's letting them rip. Teammate James Ward-Prowse ($6,400) could draw some attention, but he hasn't been shooting as much or creating as many chances.
Andros Townsend, CRY v. BUR ($6,700): Townsend has done a nice job contributing to multiple stat categories, as he's had 14 chances created, 11 tackles, 10 interceptions, seven fouls drawn and six clearances in his last five games, in addition to one goal and two assists. He and the Eagles will now face a Burnley side that's allowed the most shots per game this season among teams on the slate, as well as the most chances created and clearances.
Manuel Lanzini, WHU at STK ($7,600): Lanzini has created 19 chances in his last seven games, including a season-high five last weekend against Everton. Additionally, he's taken 17 shots (six on goal) while adding 11 interceptions, 10 fouls drawn and seven tackles over that span. Playing at Stoke won't be an easy task, but the Potters have allowed the most corners per game among teams on the slate, which could open up even more opportunities for Lanzini to create chances.
FORWARD
Manolo Gabbiadini, SOU v. HUL ($7,700): Gabbiadini scored four goals in his first three starts for Southampton but then missed time with a groin injury. He hasn't scored since he returned, but he'll have a great opportunity to do so Saturday against Hull, who have allowed 15 goals in their last five away matches.
Christian Benteke, CRY v. BUR ($8,900): Benteke has scored five goals and assisted on another in his last six games, putting 11 of his 25 shots on goal over that span. Meanwhile, Burnley have allowed the most shots and second-most shots per game this season among teams on the slate and have allowed multiple goals in three of their last five away matches (they posted clean sheets at Middlesbrough and at Sunderland, the 19th and 20th-place teams in the table, respectively).
Marko Arnautovic, STK v. WHU ($7,900): Arnautovic's anytime goal-scoring odds aren't that high, but he's created multiple chances in five consecutive games. The forward pool is packed with mid-tier, goal-dependent options, and while Arnautovic doesn't exactly jump out of that group, his additional contributions give him a somewhat safer floor and higher upside if he does find the back of the net.
