Dream11 Fantasy Soccer: Tottenham Hotspur v. Leicester City Preview

This article is part of our Dream11 Fantasy Soccer series.

Game Preview

Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City collide Sunday in a thrilling Premier League matchup that has huge implications for both clubs. Spurs enter on the heels of a four-game undefeated streak (W3, D1) and have won their last two matches, bolstering their chances of earning a spot in next year's UEFA Europa League. Leicester have an even bigger stake at play, though. The Foxes are on an inconsistent run of results (W2, D1, L2) and currently sit in fourth place of the standings, but they are tied with Manchester United in the race for the final spot in the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League. The Foxes will have some key absences, and Spurs seem to be hitting all the right notes, but Brendan Rodgers' men have enough quality to come away with the three points in this one. Both sides are likely to go all out for the win.

Leicester City: Kasper Schmeichel; Ryan Bennett, Jonny Evans, James Justin, Wes Morgan; Luke Thomas, Harvey Barnes, Wilfred Ndidi, Youri Tielemans, Ayoze Perez; Jamie Vardy

Top Picks

Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur: Kane is coming off his best performance since the league returned, as the England captain netted a brace against Newcastle United. Kane was back on the score-sheet Wednesday after three games bereft of goals, and he is up to 15 on the season.

Jamie Vardy, Leicester City: Vardy's upside should be a bit reduced in this one since he won't have the support of some of Leicester's biggest play-making threats, such as James Maddison and Ricardo Pereira, but the Englishman is a must-roster player in his own right regardless of the assembled lineup. The striker is the league's top scoring threat with 23 goals, and he has racked up 17 shots (six on target), nine chances created, four goals and one assist during his last four games.

Captain and Vice-Captain Options

  1. Harry Kane
  2. Jamie Vardy
  3. Son Heung-Min
  4. Steven Bergwijn
