PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Danijel Subasic, MON v. TOT ($5,100): Subasic has conceded just three times in four games in helping Monaco to the top of Group E. Things are tight at the top, however, and a motivated Spurs are sure to keep Subasic on his toes. He made four saves en route to a 2-1 win and 11 DraftKings points at Tottenham in their group stage opener, and with Spurs needing a result to stay in the knockout round hunt he'll have every opportunity to top that Tuesday.

Sergio Rico, SEV v. JUV ($4,700): While paying all the way up for the two biggest favorites on the slate could be considered playing it safe, there's enough value elsewhere to save at the position. Sevilla have shown some vulnerabilities at the back recently but have yet to allow a goal through four Group H games in Champions League play. Rico shutout Juventus in their group opener, and with both teams looking to punch their tickets to the knockout round early, both goalkeeping options from this game are enticing at $1K less than the highest-priced options.

DEFENDER

Ludwig Augustinsson, COP v. POR ($5,200): Augustinsson has been an absolute crossing machine, with a combined 45 crosses over his last three UCL outings. A double-digit floor makes him a strong cash game play, and a 30-point ceiling could see Augustinsson factor into a tournament winning lineup too.

Sergio Escudero, SEV v. JUV ($4,800): Escudero has been piling up fantasy points across nearly every scoring category. He's playing in more of an attacking role, taking at least three shots in each of his last three games. Escudero scored a goal in his last Champions League appearance, and he checks in as one of the chalkiest plays at the position given his recent run of form and reasonable salary.

Benjamin Mendy, MON v. TOT ($4,400): Mendy played in 15 crosses, converting one into an assist and landing on 23 fantasy points in his last Champions League start. Prior to that he swung in nine crosses and took two shots in just 21 minutes off the bench. He'll be a tough fade with that type of production, and for the price he's a nice value play at the position.

MIDFIELDER

Riyad Mahrez, LEI v. BRU ($8,200): Mahrez has scored three of Leicester's five goals in UCL group play and now gets a cushy matchup with Group G stomping mat Club Brugge. Leicester advance to the knockout round with a win, so another well-rounded effort from Mahrez can be expected.

Thomas Lemar, MON v. TOT ($7,100): Lemar scored a goal in Friday's Ligue 1 win over Lorient and has swung in 11 crosses in each of his last two Champions League appearances. His set-piece ability adds to his fantasy zeal, and up against Tottenham, who he hit up for a goal and 18 fantasy points in their Group E opener, Lemar is a solid option in both cash games and GPPs.

Miguel Layun, POR at COP ($6,000): The versatile winger has topped double digits in three Champions League starts, but he came off the bench in their last UCL game. He brings a relatively safe floor anytime he's on the field, and at a mid-tier price is well worth keeping an eye on once starting lineups are out.

FORWARD

Cristiano Ronaldo, RMD at SPO ($10,700): Ronaldo is hot off a Madrid derby hat trick and nows returns to where it all began in Portugal at Sporting Lisbon. Madrid are currently two points back of Borussia Dortmund for first place in Group F, so this isn't a spot where they can take their foot off the pedal. Ronaldo has topped 40 fantasy points in two straight games across all competitions, reminding us of how easily he can make-or-break a fantasy lineup.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, DOR v. LEG ($9,300): Aubameyang has scored in each of his three UCL appearances this season, and he looks set to return to the starting XI after being held out of their last European match for disciplinary reasons. His return comes at a good time, as a matchup with Legia Warsaw is a juicy one. He took six shots and scored a goal for 21 fantasy points in their group stage opener, and he'll have ample opportunity to top that in Tuesday's rematch at Dortmund.

Falcao, MON v. TOT ($6,900): Falcao scored a goal off the bench over the weekend and has returned to his goal-scoring form, netting five times in November. He likely came off the bench in an effort to preserve him for Tuesday's tilt with Tottenham, and he makes for a nice tournament play at a mid-range price if he's back in the starting XI.
