PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Tom Heaton, BUR at TOT ($3,600): Heaton leads the Premier League in saves despite missing two matches, and while he has recorded only three shutouts this season, the saves make him worth a look. He also comes as the cheapest goalkeeper of any likely starter, which should allow spending up on attacking players.

DEFENDER

Cedric Soares, SOT at BOU ($4,600): After missing Wednesday's 0-0 draw with Stoke City because of illness, Cedric has been deemed fit by manager Claude Puel. He is expected to start and will likely get forward, as evidenced by his 30 crosses in his last three appearances. If you don't want to spend up for the likes of Danny Rose or James Milner, Cedric could be a solid alternative option.

James Milner, LIV at EVE ($7,000): Milner is the highest priced defender in this slate by more than $1,800, but he's worth it. He has had at least nine fantasy points in each of his past 10 matches. One of the biggest reasons for his high scores is the number of crosses he puts in, as he has 41 in his past four matches and is expected to keep that type of output going.

Danny Rose, TOT v. BUR ($5,200): The return of Toby Alderweireld from a long-term knee injury allows Tottenham flexibility to push their outside-backs further up the pitch and involved in the attack. Sunday's match with Burnley could see Mauricio Pochettino go with a 3-4-3 formation, with Rose and Kyle Walker as the wing-backs. This is good news for Rose, who likes to push up normally. Tottenham have the best odds to win and are likely to have the majority of possession, which means Rose should see plenty of the ball on the flank.

MIDFIELDER

Ross Barkley, EVE v. LIV ($6,500):Yannick Bolasie's season-ending knee injury will force the Everton attack to go through Barkley more so than before. Although Barkley's form from 15/16 has yet to be return this season, he will be leaned on heavily to jumpstart the Everton attack. Liverpool has allowed the most goals of any top-six side, which could allow Barkley extra space going forward.

Adam Lallana, LIV at EVE ($7,300): In Lallana's two starts since returning from a groin injury, he has been Liverpool's fill-in maestro while Philippe Coutinho is out. He scored one goal in Liverpool's 2-2 draw with West Ham and then turned in a Man of the Match performance during a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough, scoring two goals and adding an assist. Liverpool has five players with at least five goals, which means the goals could come from any of the attackers in Monday's match. Lallana's six assists make him a decent option even if he doesn't score.

Christian Eriksen, TOT v. BUR ($8,300): Before Nov. 26, Eriksen had yet to score a goal in the Premier League. Since then, he has led the Tottenham attack by contributing five goals and two assists. He's managed to fill the fantasy stat sheet in other places as well, averaging over five shots and nine crosses per game in his past four. He's a proven playmaker and worth spending up on.

FORWARD

Alexis Sanchez, ARS at MCI ($9,300): The Premier League's second-leading scorer has been setting the Premiership and Europe on fire all season. In his past five matches, Alexis found the net six times, while adding three assists across all competitions. He is the most expensive player on this slate, but well worth the investment.

Divock Origi, LIV at EVE ($7,400): Although Origi is carrying a small knock from the midweek clash with Middlesbrough, he is expected to start in Monday's Merseyside derby. With Daniel Sturridge and Coutinho out because of injuries, Origi has flourished with the increased playing time. In his past four matches he's found the net four times, along with one assist. He comes cheaper than the likes of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, yet he continues to produce at a higher rate.

Kelechi Iheanacho, MCI v. ARS ($7,000): Manchester City's attacking firepower makes it tough to ignore players from their attack when creating a lineup, regardless of who is starting. Sergio Aguero will sit this match out while he serves a four-match ban, making this another excellent opportunity for other City forwards to contribute, with Iheanacho or Nolito the most likely options. Both have split starts in City's past two matches, which means you'll have to double check lineups.
