Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Love and the Packers' passing game regressed last season thanks to injuries and a new emphasis on the rushing attack. Love missed two weeks after suffering an MCL sprain Week 1, and he later suffered a groin injury Week 8 and an elbow injury Week 18. He finished with 83 rushing yards, down from 247 in 2023. The arrival of Josh Jacobs (301 carries) cost Love pass attempts as the Packers increased their rushing rate by nearly 10 percentage points over 2023, up to 51.2 percent (third-highest). Love at least was reasonably efficient, with 8.0 YPA ranking fifth, and he went deep plenty -- 14.4 percent of his attempts traveled 20-plus yards (2nd). But he lost about six attempts per game compared to 2023, and he won't necessarily get those back this season. The passing game, though, could be more explosive after adding WR Matthew Golden and his 4.29 speed with the 23rd overall pick of the draft. Golden may quickly prove to be an upgrade on fellow deep threat Christian Watson, who likely will miss a chunk of the season after suffering an ACL tear in January. The Packers' offensive line looks about average, but they have good depth at the skill positions with Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs at wide receiver -- joined by Golden and third-round pick Savion Williams -- and third-year pros Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave at tight end. Green Bay also has one of the league's better offensive minds in head coach Matt LaFleur, who has proven highly competent at adjusting his schemes and gameplans to fit his personnel. Love probably won't have enough rushing production or passing volume to be a regular starter in single-QB leagues, but he should throw enough touchdown passes to be a solid QB2. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Four TDs in Thanksgiving Day win
Love completed 18 of 30 passes for 234 yards and four touchdowns in Thursday's 31-24 win over the Lions. He added five rushing attempts for four yards.
ANALYSIS
Love tossed second-quarter touchdown passes of 22 yards to Dontayvion Wicks and two yards to Romeo Doubs, then added third-quarter touchdown passes of 51 yards to Christian Watson and one yard to Wicks. Each of those four touchdown passes gave the Packers leads of exactly 10 points. Love had only two touchdown passes in his previous four games combined, so Thursday's bounce-back performance was a welcome sight for Love's fantasy managers, as he tied his single-game career high with four touchdown passes. He bolstered his 2025 TD:INT to 19:3 ahead of a pivotal Week 14 home game against the Bears.

Just as panic was setting in last season, Love proved he was the Packers' next franchise quarterback. The first eight weeks after Love took over for Aaron Rodgers were disconcerting, to say the least, for Packers fans. He had an 11:8 TD:INT and 78.2 passer rating and the team was 2-5. But things started to change Week 9, and in the last 10 games Love threw 21 TD passes to just three interceptions as the Packers went 7-3 to make the playoffs. In that span, he ranked fourth in the NFL in completion percentage (68.7), sixth in on-target percentage (75.9), sixth in TD percentage (6.1) and eighth in YPA (7.7). On attempts of 20-plus yards, his 20 completions were second only to Dak Prescott’s 26 as he went deep on 11.0 percent of his attempts (11th). Love became the third QB in NFL history with 4,000-plus passing yards, 30-plus TD passes and a playoff win in his first season as a starter. The Packers were the youngest team to win a postseason game in NFL history, led by four wideouts and two tight ends who topped 300 yards as rookies or second-year pros. The team had a quiet offseason apart from replacing RB Aaron Jones with Josh Jacobs, banking on continued improvement from the talented young core and an 11-player draft class that includes two top-100 picks for the offense (OT Jordan Morgan, 25th; RB MarShawn Lloyd, 88th). Love has no shortage of weapons and also adds a bit of rushing value (247 yards, four TDs), giving him a chance to repeat last year's QB5 finish, at least.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could get WR back for Week 8
Love could have another key passing target available Sunday against the Steelers, with the Packers having activated wide receiver Christian Watson from the reserve/PUP list Saturday, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
ANALYSIS
Watson is in the final stages of his recovery from a right torn ACL that he sustained in Week 18 of the 2024 season. He's still listed as questionable for Sunday's game, but his return would be a boost for Love and the Packers' offense, as they'll be without Dontayvion Wicks due to a calf injury, while rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden is questionable with a hip injury. Watson has caught passes from Love in 25 regular-season games, with the duo connecting for 62 catches on 119 targets for 1,130 yards and eight touchdowns in that span.
