GOALIE
Connor Hellebuyck, WPG at EDM ($24): Hellebuyck has been on a tear in November, recording a .943 save percentage and a 3-0-1 record, including a win against the Oilers on Tuesday in which he stopped 32 of 34 shots. The Oilers can always light it up with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, but the Vezina Trophy winner's low salary is baffling nonetheless.
GOALIE TO AVOID
Tristan Jarry, PIT at MON ($35): Jarry's numbers this year have been quite impressive, but he has struggled on the road with an .891 save percentage and a 3.25 GAA. You're taking a lot of risk with Jarry at this salary even though the Canadiens have lost eight of the last 10 while averaging just 2.3 goals per game.
CENTER
Cole Sillinger, CLS at ARI ($17): The 18-year-old is fitting in with the big club, recording three goals and three assists through his last five games while skating on the second line with PP1 duties. His lack of name recognition should make him a minimally rostered player, and he'll square off against one of the league's worst defenses and the 30th-ranked penalty kill (67.3 percent).
CENTER TO AVOID
Jeff Carter, PIT at MON ($20): Sidney Crosby is back in the lineup, and Carter has been relegated to the second line as a result. He's still generating plenty of shots on net, but the 36-year-old has gone pointless in five of the last six games and will face a solid Canadiens defense tonight.
WING
Kirill Kaprizov, MIN vs. DAL ($25): Kaprizov isn't lighting it up like he did last year, as he's accrued only three goals on 49 shots (6.1 percent) and eight assists through 15 games. However, he should start scoring at a higher rate at some point after connecting on 17.2 percent of his shots last season. He's an intriguing option Thursday night against the Stars' 28th-ranked penalty kill (73.3 percent).
Reilly Smith, VGK vs. DET ($19): Smith is an underrated stud, and he's heating up right now with three goals and as many assists through six games. He's still getting plenty of playing time on the second line, and his power-play minutes could be fruitful against Detroit's 24th-ranked penalty kill (77.6 percent).
WINGS TO AVOID
Troy Terry, ANH vs. CAR ($22): The former Team USA star has finally translated his skills to the NHL with a 15-game scoring streak in which he's piled up 21 points. There's no doubt about his abilities, but he'll likely be a popular option on tonight's slate. Furthermore, he'll be up against Carolina's top-ranked defense (1.93 GAA), making it an uphill climb to keep up his remarkable streak.
Jordan Kyrou, STL vs. SJ ($19): Kyrou is establishing himself as a legitimate threat in the league with seven goals and 10 assists through 15 games, and he's fired 38 shots on net in that span. However, four of his last seven points have been with the man advantage, and he could lose that edge in Thursday's matchup, as the Sharks lead the league with a 90.2 percent penalty kill.
DEFENSE
Miro Heiskanen, DAL at MIN ($19): Heiskanen has been dominant this season with 13 points through 14 games while scoring on 7.7 percent of his shots -- just a tick above his usual mark. His scoring rate is sustainable, and even though six of his points have been with the man advantage, Thursday's matchup against the Wild's 78.8 percent penalty kill (23rd in the league) should be an excellent opportunity to keep his momentum rolling.
Morgan Rielly, TOR vs. NYR ($20): Rielly has posted 11 points -- four with the man advantage -- through 17 games, and he's averaged 2.5 shots per game. A strong skater and a better puck-mover, Rielly is a perfect fit for the Maple Leafs' PP1 alongside Auston Matthews and John Tavares, and they'll get an appealing matchup against the Rangers' 21st-ranked penalty kill (79.6 percent).
DEFENSEMEN TO AVOID
Jaccob Slavin, CAR at ANH ($18): Slavin has a high floor on a nightly basis because he blocks shots and maintains a solid shot volume. However, he has no goals and eight assists through 14 games, and he rarely handles power-play time. Slavin had just one multi-point game last year and one so far this season, so his ceiling is certainly low. It would be best to stay away in tournaments.
Ivan Provorov, PHI vs. TB ($18): Much like Slavin, Provorov's fantasy value is propped up by his blocked shots and shots on net, but the Flyer has just four points through 14 games. He's a solid player overall, but his ceiling is quite low against generational goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy, who has recorded a .924 save percentage this year.
