There are eight games ahead of us tonight, and the action begins with four 7:00 p.m. ET starts (Vegas at Boston, Buffalo at Montreal, Chicago at Carolina, Dallas at Columbus). That's followed by two games beginning at 8:00 (Ottawa at Nashville, Florida at Winnipeg), one at 9:00 (Pittsburgh at Edmonton) and one at 9:30 (Detroit at Minnesota).

SLATE PREVIEW

Detroit and Pittsburgh are set to play in the second half of a back-to-back. It might be particularly rough for the Red Wings, who went to overtime (2-1 win) in Toronto last night, and then had to cross the border for tonight's game in Minnesota. However, Pittsburgh doesn't exactly have things easy, given that the Penguins will be playing their third road game in four days, so fatigue could be a significant factor for both squads.

GOALIES

Tristan Jarry, EDM vs. PIT ($7,900): Jarry has stopped 46 of 48 shots (.958 save percentage) across his past two outings. He's expected to get the start against his former team, and while that adds extra intrigue, the Penguins probably won't be at their best. As noted above, the Penguins are dealing with their third road game in four days, so fatigue might knock them down a peg.

Jake Oettinger, DAL at CLM ($7,800): Oettinger is going through a strong stretch in which he's posted a 2.04 GAA and a .916 save percentage over four outings. He has an 18-10-4 record, 2.67 GAA and .902 save percentage in 32 appearances in 2025-26. Columbus ranks 21st in goals per game with 2.94.

VALUE PLAYS

Claude Giroux, OTT at NAS ($5,000): Giroux has been a steady producer lately, supplying two goals and eight points over his last 10 outings. That gives him nine goals and 35 points in 49 appearances in 2025-26, including a goal and 10 points with the man advantage.

Mavrik Bourque, DAL at CLM ($3,900): Bourque might be heating up after supplying a goal and three points across his past two outings. He's not someone to select regularly -- he still has just 18 points in 50 outings this season -- but his low price point does give him some situational appeal when he's going through a good stretch.

FORWARD LINE STACKS

Sabres at Canadiens

Tage Thompson (W - $7,400), Alex Tuch (W - $6,300), Josh Doan (W - $5,600)

It's a little awkward that none of the forwards on Buffalo's top line are listed as a center, but it should be considered regardless. Thompson has been fantastic recently, providing five goals and 12 points across his past seven outings, which has propelled him to 26 goals and 51 points in 49 appearances in 2025-26. Meanwhile, Tuch has been steady, being held off the scoresheet just once in his last nine games, and he's up to 17 goals and 41 points in 48 outings this campaign.

This will also be a special game for Doan, who agreed to a seven-year, $48.65 million contract Wednesday. The 24-year-old earned that contract by contributing 15 goals and 35 points through 49 appearances this season.

Predators vs. Senators

Ryan O'Reilly (C - $6,500), Filip Forsberg (W - $6,100), Luke Evangelista (W - $5,300)

O'Reilly has been phenomenal recently, collecting five goals and 10 points over his past five outings. The 34-year-old is well on his way to establishing one of the best campaigns of his career after recording 18 goals and 47 points through 49 appearances. Forsberg has been just as hot with three goals and seven points in his past three games, bringing him up to 19 markers and 39 points in 49 appearances.

Evangelista isn't playing at the same level as his linemates, but his goal and four points across his last three outings are still great, especially for his price point. He has seven goals and 35 points in 48 appearances this campaign.

DEFENSEMEN

Quinn Hughes, MIN vs. DET ($6,900): Hughes is going into tonight's action amid a three-game scoring streak in which he's collected a goal and five points. He has four goals and 44 points through 45 outings overall, which is good for fifth in points among defensemen.

Rasmus Dahlin, BUF at MON ($6,300): Dahlin has recorded at least a point in six straight games, providing three goals and four assists over that stretch. He's up to seven goals and 38 points in 45 appearances in 2025-26.
