Tournament Preview
This week the European Tour heads to Vilamoura, Portugal. Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course is once again hosting the Portugal Masters, as it has every year. The undulating course consists of wide fairways, with water hazards and bunkers throughout. Past results show that strong iron play and ball striking is the key to managing this Arnold Palmer design course. There is plenty of course history to consider, but recent form and a hot hand will guide the picks.

Draftkings Picks
Lucas Bjerregaard - $10,700 (14/1)
Lucas was my top pick last year and I am going with this year's defending champion once again. He comes in red hot with 3 top-10s in his last three starts. His highest finish being a solo second at Omega European Masters. He is ranked 10th on tour in greens in regulation and 23rd in SG: tee to green. He is a proven winner here and a great place to start line up construction.
Thomas Detry - $9,500 (25/1)
I really like Detry this week. He enters after a strong finish last week, where it appeared he might miss the cut after a 74 Thursday. His perseverance to finish T3 on Sunday will give him added confidence in a tournament where he finished T20 last year. He has been consistent all season. Thomas is ranked 39th on tour in greens in regulation and 74th in SG: tee to green. Expect another strong outing from him this week.
Jason Scrivener - $7,300 (100/1)
Scrivener could be a sneaky play this week. He will most likely have very minimal ownership. The Australian has been flashing some form recently and was T15 last week at KLM Open. He is a good iron player and is ranked 61st in greens in regulation and 33rd in SG: tee to green. Jason's results at Portugal masters have been decent, especially considering his price tag. Scrivener was T29 last year and T17 in 2016.
Jorge Campillo - $7,300 (50/1)
Campillo appears to be a steal at $7,300, given his odds to win. He is a solid ball striker and is having a good season. He missed two cuts a few weeks back, but is showing good form again. Jorge finished T15 last week, with all four rounds in the 60s at KLM Open. He is 36th on tour in greens in regulation and is a great putter, coming in eighth in SG:putting. He was T29 at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Club last year and T6 in 2015.
